Not much. Biden seemed a lot keener to stop us "screwing around" than Israel. The idea that the relationship with the UK is particularly important to the US whoever is in charge seems pretty far fetched to me. Until they are keen for some British cannon fodder for one of their wars.

They won every game which they didn't do in 2008 or 2012 if you exclude penalties. As stated above they beat pretty much every major contender for the title. In reality they could've won 3-0 yesterday. I don't think you can deny they are a 'great' team.

I would much prefer an English manager. Foreign managers of national teams always feels a bit weird. And definitely not German...

It's a relatively recent phenomenon and it's related to their attempts to brand themselves as a kind of English Barcelona - left-leaning and with their own strong regional identity. I do think at the same time there has been a rise in regional identity in England, perhaps because of increasing inequality between areas but also because of the constant problematising of English national identity in the press, and the snobbishness that surrounds that.
