I like the Magic Mystery Tour idea. The Wonderwall one is a bit of a dirge. My girlfriend said watching the game yesterday he looks like a minor player in the wars of the roses.
-
I'm always up for meeting up to watch games. Tend to go to the Stags Head or Mabel's Tavern. Was in Mabel's for the game this afternoon.

Yeah to be fair I went nearly 8 years ago (in a Prishtina bar I watched us draw 0-0 with Man City in the title winning season). Wasn't my favourite city ever and I went mostly to see the Serbian monasteries nearby. I'm a bit torn on the situation. I generally have a little sympathy for Serbia post 1990. Haven't read much about the current situation to be honest.
-
Do you mean Prizren? Because I've been to Prishtina and I thought it was pretty ugly, although with decent food and drink.
-
Has any club suffered more since the 90s than Wednesday? They fly under the radar a bit but Cov are the only ones I can think of that have screwed up more and even they seem to turned a corner. Even Leeds and Forest fans have been luckier.

How did I not know this happened. Must've been too busy getting drunk at uni. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/2303672/leicester-land-mcateer

absolutely appalling waste of life.

I was joking. He looks far too intelligent. (ironically edited for a typo)

His Dad is Jason McAteer?! I suppose people of my generation assume someone with an Irish name can play for Ireland but considering he was born post 2000 it's not surprising the link is too far back now.
-
Assuming he's got Irish ancestry. I wonder if Kenny will be taking a look at him.
-
Considering half their fans are from the home counties this is probably true. I've posted before that I love the Tories / Scouse not English stuff just because I can send it to my many acquaintances from SE England who support pool. Really eats them up, I love it
-
Love that we're scoring so many early and late goals.

I don't think immigration is really a vote winner for the consvervatives anymore considering they've overseen a) the biggest rise in immigration by far in the country's history and b) a decline in living standards.

Looking pretty barren at the moment

This is the British public, not just our politicians. This is why they are voted for. That the public don't want to pay for anything of value for future generations is one of the major reasons for the country's current shabbiness.

Yes. We need to make Welsh the state language asap to help reverse the damage done by sharing a language with those people.

Haven't met him in real life and I came on to the forum later than most, but going only by what I've seen on here TPH comes across as a very unpleasant and bitter person in a way no other poster does. Even posters who annoy me like Geoff or the infamous MattPee never gave off those kind of vibes.

Vardys getting to 200

Found this out sitting on my plane to Palermo earlier this month. Made me a bit nervous tbh but thought 'well it can't happen three times surely'

thought this would be a thread about the guy at the Atletico game in 1997

Vardy, Drinkwater, Iheanacho all proved a lot of us wrong. But if Jannick ****ing Vestergaard can turn it around we may as well all pack it up and go home.
-
Stansted. Yes pretty easy to get around if you don't mind buses. Palermo also a good base with train connections but Trapani is more peaceful. Great beaches like Sardinia but also unrivalled history and culture in Europe imo, plus really friendly people. Sicily is still slightly rougher round the edges than many European places but offers so many incredible experiences.

Also I knew this already but it is amazing how Anglophile southern Italy is. Sicilians love Union Jack-branded clothes and bike helmets, there are British pop culture themed bars in most towns, and they all absolutely adore London.
