Part of the new 'Straight Back Down' range

Long overdue in my books. Hope this goes well and they come in with a positive attitude to work with fans, not just in the interest of the club/business side of things.

Are we the only club that has a Head of Fan Engagement who doesn't actually engage with the fans? Just puts out a 'Fan Engagement Plan' to tick a box

Out of interest did you have to throw in a 'sweetener'? Saw a few people on social media saying they'd offered some of what they'd save on stamp duty to get it over the line beforehand.

As we speak my comrades in East Norton, Little Dalby and Wymondham are at the ready to begin our march to begin taking Rutland back. -
City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

Not a fan of the AI enhancing at all just looks fake -
Maybe true but I would say probably 99% of people in Leicester do not know who/what/where Audley Public House is.

I watched Adolescence and finished the last 10/15 mins with tears in my eyes. Absolutely brilliant and I echo the comments about Stephen Graham, especially in the last episode. The way this was shot was also really well done. The end of episode 2 as the camera leaves the school, flies over the town and drops down and effortlessly sits in front of SG's character. Unbelievable.

This reminded me of the curry I had on Friday night...

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

I remember going in this as a little kid, one summer in the early 90's I'd say. I don't think it went on much longer than that though as I never saw it used again after that. -
This is Henderson who spent a year in the Saudi league and then has hardly set the world alight with Ajax, Ridiculous decision - that and Solanke getting in ahead of Watkins and Gallagher not making the squad. Also, Reece James on his day is a great RB but the guy has paper knees and has played like 8 or 9 times all season.

Wikipedia says something about this line about to be named as officially 'out of use' as of March 31st - does anyone know what it means by this? Will it stop being used for freight and altogether?

I can only imagine the amount of calls and emails all of the solicitors and conveyancers are getting hammered with at the moment to try and get them to lift their fingers to get these sales/purchase over the line before the end of the month. Must be a stressful time for them - if you, like me, have dealt with them in the past I'm sure you'll share my sympathies with them.

At the end of the day he's got the opportunity to go to Man City, he won't be in the first team but can you imagine how alluring that would be to a 16 year old lad, to be in close proximity to the likes of Pep and the players they have there. There's no chance, if they're truly interested, that he would be staying here - even if we offer him X amount of minutes over the rest of the season, next season etc. Can't blame him, just hope we get some actual proper compensation. Did we ever get anything for Nyoni from Liverpool?

The definitive list of King Power / John Rudkin c**k ups.
lcfc278 replied to AKCJ's topic in Leicester City Forum
Looking squarely at the King Power side of this but; - the dithering about the ground expansion and the lack of communication in general is ridiculous. - Lack of general sale ticket opportunities, apart from the odd game here and there to tick a few boxes. - Sacking of the long-standing ground announcer guy because of the parade/vardy incident. All hush hush though like we're in North Korea and he's been marched off and beheaded, never to be spoken of again. - Removal and then a general lack of any real history around the ground apart from a few nods to silverware brought in in the last 12 months. - No offence meant at all as obviously he oversaw our greatest ever achievement, but the Vichai statue front, right and centre of the stadium always irks me a little bit given the great players who we have had over our 140+ year history and not one has a statue or proper commemoration around the ground. - Seagrave being a massive white elephant and not properly utilised or mostly used for show and for pampering the players. - Ticket prices ridiculous. - Kit prices scandalous. - Memberships are a joke, everyone who wants to go to a game needs one, whether it's a one-off or not. - No communication at all and no clue about the direction or long term goals of the club. Finally, for me, King Power has caused and oversaw the club disconnecting from a whole generation of current fans as well as blocking out generations of new, proper fans from Leicester and Leicestershire in arguably our greatest ever period of opportunity to attract even more, all for the benefit of the £ or the tourist fan. -
It smells like bs but happy to be corrected if wrong. I know there was a general consensus with fans that Cambiasso was a good leader on the pitch but 'Pearson's own coaches admitting our great escape was down to Cambiasso's leadership on the pitch rather than the manager'? Sounds a stretch.

Where's your source for this bit? And which coaches?

It genuinely feels like they're turning their noses up at regular sell outs just to twist peoples arms to buy a membership. I'm not very financially literate but could they make more £ off of a few new membership sales for each away rather than a lot more on fully general sale? Feels like such an own goal.
-
I was thinking this. They'd rather return tickets to WH than sell them to their own fans. Can anyone shed any light on why they are so against selling them to even just fans with purchase history?

Ayew, Cordova-Reid, Buonanotte, Mavididi, McAteer ?
lcfc278 replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
RvN talks a brilliant game but when it comes down to player selection he's too arrogant - believing that what he thinks will work, will eventually work by repeating the same team selection over and over. I think the writing was on the wall for me against United in the FA Cup the other week. Ayew and Bobby Reid start, then his only sub on the wing was to bring on McAteer for Reid. With the greatest respect, McAteer is an academy product which is always brilliant to see, but you could tell in the Championship last year he doesn't have what it takes to be a PL player. To leave Mavididi on the bench and then only bring on Buonanotte when Daka got injured just stinks Alarm bells started ringing for me when Ayew was initially linked - Crystal Palace have been very good sat doing just enough to be comfortable in the PL, consolidating their position each year. As soon as we were going after a player that they felt themselves wasn't worth keeping, it was only a matter of time before the whole thing started to collapse. -
Do you reckon someone at the club has got Faiq Bolkiah's dads number? See if the Sultan of Brunei fancies buying a football club.
-
Absolutely completely agree not enough people want to do something or actively doing something to help turn the tide. However, just from being on Foxestalk you can see that the whole thing stinks. Seeing them cherry pick nice easy questions to respond to, ignore the questions getting asked most commonly, defending the club on things that even the most fair-weather fans could see are serious issues and then seemingly moving the goal posts when the likes of you and others are trying to changes things or make the Trust more effective. It's hard to get up for it when half the battle will be with the Trust themselves before you even start thinking about trying to approach the club about actual issues. Not knocking you at all, you're clearly putting time and effort in to try but it feels like a lost battle before even starting it.
-
It seems to me that the Foxes Trust seem so star struck by literally anyone who works at the club that they will agree to and/or sign anything the club wants them to just to keep them involved and in the loop. I understand there's a good amount of people that are actively trying to reform the trust but it feels like a lost cause tbh. Too many there very happy to bend over and take one from the club just to be able to say they were in the clubs presence.
