  1. Ahh...the food of kings. (or when your Mrs has gone out for the evening)
  2. Well there's no need for that, I was just explaining what was grinding my gears
  3. This post could just be generalised to 'LinkedIn' as a whole but why does it feel like everyone is just a narcissist nowadays? Why do some people think that they are so important that other people will want to know about every aspect of their lives? I've just been scrolling and some guy has posted a video all about how he enters his office each day. He's literally positioned a camera in all four corners of this room so he can show people what he does in the first minute of going into the office for work each day e.g. where he puts his bag, where he puts his phone, how he sits in his chair and the text in the post is a load of waffle about something completely irrelevant to the video. Needless to say the person in my network who 'liked' this post and made it appear on my timeline, has now been unfollowed. (ps. just to pre-empt responses, I'd love to just not go on LinkedIn to avoid these plebs but I have to use it for work)
  4. Yeah completely agree. The only thing nearby is the Morningside arena (is it still called that?) and I can't imagine many of the people that lived local to it were pub goers either, and if they were, you'd walk that extra distance to be in town where there's far more options. Suppose it was inevitable.
  5. Saw the Bridle Lane Tavern is closing down permanently. Only went in there a couple of times, wasn't the tidiest of places but had a couple of good pints in there.
  6. I think this is one of the benefits of the current nations league format - the likes of SM, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Moldova etc. will play each other more often and, you'd hope, get a little bit more competitive and taste the odd victory here and there.
  7. Don't Genk play in blue as well?
  8. Will these results be passed on to the club at all? And if so, who to? It's these kind of results that certain people at the top should be seeing. I know there's a few fan engagement / supporter liaison people there now but will they have the guts to communicate these results to the people that should be seeing it? Or is the club too far gone with the whole culture of not allowing Top to hear anything remotely negative?
  9. If this comes in football is dead. It is no longer the working man's sport anyway but this would be the final nail in the coffin.
  10. I don't think you can say that anymore mate, actually maybe not for the last 20 years or so
  11. Some chump on here said we'd see him in a different light by today. Still waiting to see.
  12. Who are you flying with? I went with Jet2 a few weeks ago now around the same time in the morning and I think most, if not all, of the issues they were having were sorted out. We didn't have to queue outside and all in all we were in and through the security bit in around 40 mins. Jet2 seemed to have their own entrance to security though so not sure if it's the same for other airlines but I imagine with kids going back to school now most airports should be dying down anyway.
  13. I can't imagine you'll be able to do anything online (I might be wrong) so I'd give them a call. There'll be plenty of space to move to so you'd imagine they'd be able to help with this fairly easily.
  14. Absolutely. Everything comes full circle I suppose, in a few years time I can see the club emailing out begging fans to buy tickets for games when the demand isn't there.
  15. It's not, each individual ticket has to be allocated to a different person. So again, I've got to fill in a form 5 separate times if I want 5 new people to attend. I should just be able to login and buy 6 tickets.
  16. Yeah that's fine for you and for me and for those who have been to games recently. The matter of fact is that, for a game like this where there are likely to be 20K empty seats available, it should be as easy as going on the website, filling in a few details and purchasing however many tickets you need. If A random who's not been to a game before and fancies a new experience, maybe taking a few kids to their first games, you shouldn't have to be signing up 6 different accounts to buy 6 tickets. Most people will likely not bother, as you will see with the attendance tonight.
  17. A game that will struggle to sell many tickets and with so many different barriers to buying them for yourself, for a plus one or for your friends and family. I hope the attendance is our lowest ever at the KP tonight, maybe that will make the club sit up and see it for themselves as I don't think they realise how many people that are excluding from not just games in the present but the next generation of potential fans as well.
  18. Not sure about anyone else but I think that the binge drinking culture in the UK has definitely toned down a little over the last 5 - 10 years. Early to late noughties (hate that word) it was rife across the UK with nightlife in most cities teaming, nowadays I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as it was - think 'Booze Britain' days. May be just me though.
  19. This one probably isn't the most memorable and didn't really take that much skill but it's one I always think back to because of the events of the day before and after the game. I think it was back in 2013 when we played Middlesborough at home. It started snowing so bad a few hours before the game that pretty much all roads into Leicester were either gridlocked to a standstill or impassable. I had to dump my car about an hours walk from the ground as I wasn't going to make it otherwise, walked through probably the worst weather I've ever experienced in Leicester but just made it to the ground in time for the game. The weather had caused that many problems getting into the city and to the ground that I think in the end we only got around 8000 in attendance. Anyway, long story short, we were winning 1-0 and I think with pretty much the last kick of the game Boro won a penalty and I was cursing my luck for even bothering to make the walk in just for us to end up settling for a draw right at the death. Kasper though ultimately made the save and it was all worthwhile in the end. After the game there were no buses or taxis available as they couldn't drive on the roads, so it ended up being another long trek back to the car, but a really happy one anyway.
  20. The GOAT. What a man. Get the statue built please Top.
  21. Still a mad kit but makes a lot more sense now!
  22. It's cool, it's edgy. Down with da kids. #createiconic
  23. Is there a link between the club and pina colada's? ABsolutely bizarre if not, imagine if for Leicester's 150-year anniversary and we decided to bring out a kit inspired by a mojito
  24. He's 100% just some 14-year old in his bedroom bored in the summer holidays.
