No way, for real? "What's wrong Sarah, you've hardly touched your cocaine!"
-
As others have probably had the same, this week I've had emails from the club firstly pushing me to order Christmas 'gifts' before the post delivery deadlines and then again before the Click and Collect deadlines for the store. In both of these emails they listed 5 or 6 'gift' ideas to buy and on both there was the option to buy someone an Adult or a Junior membership. Listed alongside the shirt, games and other merchandise. It's clearly a commercial decision they've made as a business to push/ensure that a membership is required to easily get tickets to games. Sadly a sign of the times and a sign of where the club is, it's a business. Next season, if we're promoted, it will even less of an issue for the club as they know there will be higher demand to go to games and people will again have to stump up the membership fee.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
lcfc278 replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Absolutely brilliant. Spent about 2 hours last night just travelling around to play Gwent, what a game. -
Excellent news that you've raised it, but no pressure on the club and no pushing for an answer? This is where your criticism stems from. Back the UFS with this one. Come out and make a statement supporting the call. Come out and post on social media that you fully agree and support this stance and want the club to investigate it with a little more urgency. This is one where you will absolutely, 100% have the backing of the fans and gain some credit - it's what your purpose is for starters.

100%. Pure arrogance and has made a number of comments similar to the recent one's about Leicester players. Also did the dirty with KDB's mrs - absolute wrong'un.
-
To add to this, I've noticed that even the option to purchase by those with a booking history is rarely offered. The odd time when it is actually offered it's usually only 2/3 days out from the game.
-
Well done UFS for raising this one. Whenever this topic has come up on here I've been right behind it because there is a generation of fans missing out who, like I did when I was younger, would go to the odd game here and there as kids/teenagers leading them to be full on fans in the future. Would also like other groups such as the Foxes Trust to back this one up too.

Birmingham City (A) 2-3 Leicester - Post-Match Thread

Iconic celebration -
Usually pretty organised but I'm in this boat this year too. Usually as long as the Mrs is sorted and you've got loads of food in you can't go wrong.
-
Got a weird feeling about this one, feels very similar to pregame before QPR and Sheff Wed - feel confident and form says we should win comfortably but it's never that simple is it. I really really hope we smash them though just to see Rooney's face and push him closer to the edge.

A couple of times in the last 5/10 minutes he went up for balls and when he didn't win them he sort of gave up the ghost. At least twice the second ball ended up dropping 5/6 feet away and there was no urgency to go after them, almost like he'd lost the aerial duel so gave up on it. Assuming (and hoping) that it was just down to fitness as I thought he'd be hungrier to win balls and impress.

Actually it might of been the other one next to it, Bruxelles is it?

That's true does get a bit livelier around that time, especially this time of year I bet. Can't be as bad as that Apres Lounge (is that still there?) I think I went in there on a Friday evening around this time last year, was horrendous, squashed in like sardines and couldn't hear a thing.
-
Queen of Bradgate just around the corner - not been in for a while but usually a good crowd in there and decent selection of beers.
-
I watched this Friday night, although left with a lot of questions I thought it was alright! 6.5/10
-
Tbf yeah I get your point. But considering they are one of the big boy supermarkets who are rinsing people during a cost of living 'crisis', if you're then going to splooge a wad on Buble for your adverts at least make them funny or entertaining. For some reason they ground (is that the right word?) my gears so I came here to vent.
-
The Asda Christmas adverts with Michael Buble in. They are so crap. It feels like Asda's marketing department were so shocked that he actually agreed to do their adverts that they didn't know what to do with him. You can also kind of see it in his eyes that he's wondering why tf he agreed to do them as well.

You don't just suddenly become a crap footballer at his age, I agree with a few others here in that he's not been managed properly by us. Shown a lot of promise but he a) should have had a decent loan spell a couple of seasons ago instead of jumping straight through to the first team and b) physically he should have spent the last couple of summers bulking up and working on his strength. Showed enough during Covid that there was a player in there but he's regressed and seems like he tries too hard now but doesn't have the physicality to cope with it. 2024 is all on him to recoup his career and I wish him all the best being a local Syston/Leicester lad. Should be supported being one of our own not dumped on.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?

Not played it before but got the Witcher 3 with all the DLC etc. during Black Friday. Heard a lot of people say it's in their top 5 games of all time so excited to give it a whirl. -
You'd have been committed if you'd made this shout last season but you're spot on. He's been brilliant this season and instrumental at both ends like you say. Well played Vesty.
-
The whole pre-order thing with games doesn't make sense to me anymore - even if somehow it did physically sell out everywhere you can still then go and buy a digital version on whatever you're playing it on. "Yeah but you get a really cool exclusive outfit for your player if you give them your money 6 months before you need to!"

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff
lcfc278 replied to davieG's topic in General Chat
Underpass aside, it's really not compared to other areas. St. Margaret's has had how much spent on it, the area between the bus station and Belgrave Gate has been opened up and had loads spent on it, Creation has been knocked down and will have some brand new flats built there. I'd rather they took the £12m and sorted out the car park on Abbey Street or Lee Circle or one of the many other actual grotesque areas of the city. -

What a waste of money. £12m on something that I don't think we need. Even at the busiest of times this junction isn't that bad, there's plenty more around the city that this could be spent on. Agree with blocking up/filling in the underpasses though.
