I tell you for labelling of the protests to be thick, under 25 etc. You want to see comments on LinkedIn on the clubs posts! Hahahah. All professional, intelligent from respectable companies laying into them.

Well they do - they just make them slaves

Might get to Mossley on Saturday which is a very well regarded non-league classic. Mentioned elsewhere looking at Bergen in May. Not a particularly excited ground or set of supporters but an incredible setting.

You have question the brains behind the Reform campaigning at the moment and whose advising them. - Their polling of Gorton & Denton was way off meaning Goodwin is now crying like a sore loser. - They've employed ex Tory ministers who were part of the reason the electorate gave up on the Tories. - They want be closer to Trump which according to a lot of research and polls is literal electoral suicide. - Support of UK services presence in the Middle East is similarly literal electoral suicide according to surveys and polls. They are being incredibly misguided at the moment. They've started to completely drop the ball on predominantly who their potential election winning voters were and now appear to be totally focused on ex-Conversative voters of a Boomer age group to get them through. They are policy by donor and funding.

Sherwood Forest? Edwinstowe and all around there. That;s why we took my Mum with us as a family when she was unwell. Hospital in Mansfield Woodhouse as well in case anything goes wrong.

I think the right's reaction is representative of how lobbying and donors has completely skewed our political system. Reform principally a political party suggesting Britain should look after itself, sorting itself and dedicate major time to immigration are wanting the UK to go into the Middle East with the US to fight a war (at the risk of a further immigration population). Such is their loyalty to Trump, Bannon and anyone else what's given time/money towards them. Bought opinion. By comparison, Restore with their collection of racists are actually far more rationale and now laying out policy what concentrates on Britain principally. Policies over playing fields and playgrounds. The British high street and its collapse. This type of concentration is going to score well in my opinion if they can find the funding. Equally, It's no different to say how Labour and The Green Party can be on subjects. But lobbying and the donor system is a ****ing disgrace.

Forest twitter is ****ing hilarious tonight. So many sets of fans in the same mindset though pissed off by overpaid players, clubs charging too much while making their fan relations become so corporate

They’ve switched back pretty much now they realised the Pizza was the real pull. At first there was no pizza at all. Then they went to Friday and Saturdays only. Now it’s most of the week. I’m no fan of Babelas. Think the landlord is bit of a plum but that stretches back to post Covid when he was still insisting on rules after they had all been stopped. I know it’s very Deano but I’m a fan of the Clarendon because it maintains that traditional pub feels just about

Spinned your argument to something completely different now -

Are you sure about that? For the last three months, he's utterly sulked. He doesn't run on, he runs like he's had a hip replacement. He came v Southampton and gave away five fouls in twenty minutes. On Saturday, he did one of the most laziest things I've ever seen a pro footballer do. Earlier this season I had a lot of respect for him but from Christmas, he's completely gave up. -

Of course the twisted irony is that these same supporters will be happy to sing songs at Forest, Leeds et al about 'so many years and you've won fck all' or ''you live in the past'. Well the behaviour you are exhibiting is exactly the sort of thing what made those clubs remain in the past. -
I wouldn't have Hegseth as any sane indicator of pragmatism. I have literally seen that idiot pub landlord whose on GB News all the time get all upset at our lack of intervention and now get upset at our intervention.

After flirting with the Balkans, it's looking Bergen next for my travels. The attraction of somewhere bit more accessible in its openness with fjords etc. Then I have found out Brann at home and they have a park run. Then finding out that it's National Day on 17th May when I intend to go so the city will be absolutely buzzing.

Went Hopology on Queens Road - the pizza's are the true winners. Had some very expensive Cloudwater on tap.

The town is split by the river. Northside traffic gets bad, so you are better parking further away on the south side. We parked at Pauls Social.

Worrying thing is I watch them play us in November and thought ****ing hell these are dreadful. I struggle to name any of their players too. Very good performance by them on Saturday.
-
An absolute terrible signing. Zero redeeming performances. No doubt on wages that an Italian club wouldn't touch him. It only took his debut to go yeah he ain't the one. By comparison, we could have had someone perfectly serviceable like Dara O'Shea that summer whom is now captain of Ipswich and doing a reasonable job.

And the biggest laugh is that Cooper was briefing journalists saying letting Nelson go loan was a mistake!

I’m not. But it’s a decision what’s just bumped up oil prices, and got the BOE getting tetchy about a rate cut. Therefore affecting us all again when it comes to the price of energy and mortgages

Starmer taking flak for not taking a position at all. Well apart from us having jets in the air. If you ask me it’s probably the right move. Reform for a party which are supposedly for Britain first. They seem do an awful lot of wanting us to spend money getting involved in military exercise. It’s not lost on me that the right wing parties of the moment aren’t using the position that Britain needs to concentrate on its self and rebuild, get their nose out of other scenarios.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
CosbehFox replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Managed a half today. Tiny bit quick pace than the 17k last weekend. 26k next Sunday late afternoon is going to be fun 😬
