  1. Why we would just do that with money we are paying an extreme (well exceeding the DoE rate) amount of interest for? To allow it to sit in the bank on lesser interest? We'd be losing x % of its value in such a move.
  2. Foregate Street/The Tything which has a remarkable number of traditional pubs on it. Lamb & Flag in addition to those mentioned. The Ounce is good for food. Hanbao on this street what do incredible burgers. There's Firefly too.
  3. You can't really go wrong with Poland. Although I will say once you are past the top five tourist cities, the cities are not the richest for things to do. I repeatedly tell people Wroclaw is incredibly under-rated.
  4. Yep strikes me as complete cash in. Personally think it will be a non starter for the road closures and knock-on to related services. Police trying to cover too many events. Another opinion I think the country could do with another big marathon event - London, Brighton and Manchester are the only ones which really capture the imagination.
  5. I do find the Bristol City situation interesting. When I left Ashton Gate on Good Friday after we absolutely fumbled a result there, one of the locals chirped up calling us ungrateful. I told him in a nice way to **** off. How a twist now they are grumbling about ownership and direction. (along with at least 50% of the top two divisions).
  6. I don't know any more than that except all copy/articles are embargoed until the accounts are released.
  7. They briefed the press last night on the accounts, so it’s any time today. They traditionally announce the accounts late in the day off memory
  8. A good kryptonite is asking what they think of Patson Daka or Jordan Ayew. A good gotcha from their response.
  9. No point blaming Darlow for that. Given Dzeko a free header that near to goal, if he stayed on his line he wasn’t saving it
  10. Wales absolutely all over Bosnia
  11. Condemning the statement - 'not a true fan if the division makes a difference to your choice'
  12. Surprise, surprise coming out now that Ipswich Town were fully aware of Farage turning up. He had dinner with the Chief Exec and Chairman at the ground. Shirts were FOC (one of which he signed. I did mention he signed the shirt 'to Mark' What a fan to **** your fanbase over
  13. The most horrific headline is that the most expensive season ticket will remain £730 - I doubt you'll find anyone in League 1 charging that. The Kop will be £457 - again I don't think you'll find anyone in L1 with those prices.
  14. The comments on Facebook are interesting. It shows the difficulty of communication
  15. Usce Novi Beograd v Loznica
  16. Just be to pick the one weekend in Bergen where a sell out is a certainty (National Day weekend). Might have to be a KFUM Oslo ultra Anyway I’m getting sent to Belfast for work which means I’m getting the chance to the Oval - Glentoran’s ground, an absolute bucket list ground. They are playing Friday night against Larne in a massive game. Then torn between Linfield or Glenavon on the Saturday
  17. The signs were on the wall very early there at Morecambe sadly, Hashtag United have gone the way everyone expected
  18. If the club wanted to show commitment and evolvement back to the fans, they’d stop the deadline and push it right back. I don’t want to commit money in April for decisions made in July or August. There’s a chance for them to reshape the squad but I don’t want to shell money out if they make the same errors as before Give me something to believe until I commit the money. Push it back a bit this year until the situation is clearer for everyone
  19. When I looked into it was a very long time and the land is technically owned by YMCA. LCFC have a long leasehold on the land. There would be the barrier of sports England too on any planning permission
  20. You correct @Lineker's Lugs Belvoir Drive has a sporting covenant on it
  21. It’s impossible to keep it out of football. Only the past week a government backed law has saw the first criminal charge for ‘jibbing’ yet as per a lot of ticketing laws, it only applies for football. No law for other sports or music events. Despite the latter having a more recent issue of overcrowding at events
  22. See you are missing one important part there. Cifuenties had a summer dealing with players wanting out of the club. Sometimes he was allowed to play players and other times he was told not to. At least two of them kicking their toys out of their pram. It wasn’t some rosy garden back in August. The performances weren’t even all that but he threw in a lot of youngsters across August who got decent results. It was unsurprising when all these players wanted off again in January, they downed tools and turned in some woeful performances after a decent December You keep harping back as though people are saying he’s a good manager but no one is. Both managers have had factors outside of on the pitch performance but Rowett has factually put us deeper in the mire
  23. Not a lot changed there in the past seven games either
  24. Notably on the shirt he signs it to 'To Mark'. Mark Ashton being Ipswich's club chairman is just some massive coincidence. Either way, Ipswich Town are extremely dim to split their own fanbase in half now. Much like we occasionally see some of the inane chanting which has taken place at LCFC away games this season.
  25. Very strange blister on my big toe after Sunday. I’ve had to pop it which I never do cos the pressure (like a stubbed toe) was killing
