Loan fees still cost. How our summer played out should tell us this period is close as well as the club wanted so many out of the door before doing any business. Remember the allowance loss limit reduces with 2 Championship seasons + 1 PL. Throw in a smaller parachute payment, small TV revenues, small match day income. It's exactly why the club won't sack Marti any time soon. -
England Women in the summer. A decent vibe down there.

I am not kidding when I say the run was to the scene of old blokes fishing out of the sea and literally whacking Octopus against rocks to kill it and then the random moment where near the meeting point/finish point, there was a gang of kids letting off those huge flash bombs which make a right rocket noise. -
First of all, Matera is an absolute must for anyone in the area. Good thing of going in November is that it's not full of tourists. Annoyingly they have a club which went bust in the summer. Bari's San Nicola is an absolute gem architecturally. Somehow in a stadium of 58,000 with just 10,800 in it, the ultras did a decent job of not making it a complete morgue. It's located in the middle of nowhere and had a real tailgate vibe outside. Their fans are pissed off cos their owners are the same as Napoli's and they've been forgotten about. Mad first half by a pretty secure second. Frosinone's 200 supporters went home happy. Now the real delight was Barletta which blew all expectations. Their ultra group is called 'Group Erotico' . Fourth tier but the atmosphere was superb. Some great tunes - including one to the famous Brazilian France 1998 advert. Felt a real South American vibe. Annoyingly they lost 2-1 after being 1 up for 80 odd minutes until giving two penalties away. Barletta as well was a real pretty place if very quiet with the summer season way gone for tourism. Anyway the brain is thinking of the next Italy trip. Probably back up North to either of Verona, Atalanta or Udinese/Trieste.

Spent weekend doing my groundhopping bullshit in Bari. Three places visited Bari - more built up in the centre than I was expecting but perfectly decent base for North Puglia. Matera - anyone go. Quite simply incredible. It’s not big but you can do a trail walk and view the top from a higher vantage point above a gorge Barletta - clearly busier in the summer, what a pretty town/small city on the coast. Had a cracking meal there.

Bari not the best for pubs. One place had a really good session IPA. Other options were way out from central areas. Very much an aperitif culture and having a can/bottle of Peroni outside

No one took the bait sadly. Gorgeous morning though, just the wind off the sea was fierce. Course I was the only one there in t shirt x ingerlund grit -
Another weekend away - this time watching Italian fourth tier Bartletta with an end making the amount of noise only we could wish for (or 95% of English clubs)
-
Yeah - Germany and England by far the best (with other UK). Italy have got better but everywhere else across Europe is pretty crap.
-
For those Belgian fixtures? Literally turn up - you are talking the same sort of set-up as a National League club. Bari this weekend I have had to buy but they were only on sale a week before - stadium empty tho PSG in early December had to buy four weeks ago off their website

In Italy rather than Parkrun (there's a handful), there is a bit more casual thing of relaxed run clubs meeting on weekend mornings. I did one in Turin which was great. Signed up to one in Bari this Sunday, the bloke running it is ****ing delighted. Been asking me everything ! Nice coastal run at about 10 degrees yes please! -
Belgrade flights booked !

Farsley been bust again since and this season they are not taking part in competitive football.

The end of year accounts fiddle for a loophole suggests otherwise -

Youe argument falls down when we used a loophole to avoid a charge so rather than accepting that and moving on. We subsequently a year later, were late with the accounts submission. So we’ve not really shown any actual learning to the process -

Yep. Might as well just gonna **** it and smashed the rules ala Forest. We’ve gone halfway house all of this. -
It wouldn’t matter. Most of our issues are self caused by the double six system. We want to play out from the back but we are too robotic with the system. It only works with James is doing the box to box role. We are playing it too deep cos of Vestergaard and we are too static in the shape.

3-1 Australia Boland - sort of bloke which cleans up our middle to lower order - averages less than 13 at home Smith Boland Inglis will score well too
-
Doughwhat is good enough in my experience too - we often have to go there as they have decent vegan options (wife can't have dairy) Anyone been Casa Casa?

In lighter news, I quite enjoyed Saturday morning doing Park run at Victoria Park and then off to Queens Road for various bits & bobs afterwards.

https://www.semi-montventoux.com 1600 metres of climbing over 21 k. A good chunk is 9-10% gradient. It levels off at 6% before 10% to finish. It's known from the Tour de France and the submit finish; cyclists have died on it. It's very unusual terrain at the top. Unearthy.
