How excited are you for the new season?
CosbehFox replied to daddylonglegs's topic in Leicester City Forum
3-5 I'll be glad to watch some football again. However I am getting very tired (almost to the point of sadness) that the club has utterly downed tools in a number of areas. Even if you park playing performance to aside, their lack of regards for supporters. Ticketing, sponsorship, shirts, women's team, community ventures et al, they have given up. -
Yeah. A number of small principalities got good audience numbers last time.

I’d suggest we do given all the grumbles about a new County Champ format

Coady esque. 2 years at max

You'd be right but with Charlton as the away stand can't be split, so I don't see what's gained. -
Sheff Wed -10th Aug 16:30 - First up?

As a pure double down, that now means that the TV cameras are facing literally 'Chansiri' spelt out in seats. -
Mad they've got that many clashes with Tigers. Normally it's 1 or 2 at most but 4 clashes suggests the EFL / Prem Rugby did not work together.

Just clocking on for 48 hours and neither two main twitter / x accounts have mentioned season tickets for the female team post Euros victory.

11 but its obvious in this example, everyone is waiting as the blocks are quite small. -

Taking their time opening up blocks again - handful right at the front left with Block B or right to the corner of A. If it's obvious people will wait in this example. -
tbf her replacements have done well and typically the manager she seemed to have an issue with, Gareth Taylor, has now left.

Seriously if this was Mandaric era, you’d be screaming it’s an agent bung ala Casino Jimmy

LCFC gaffs - the notification e-mail saying Fox Travel picking you up at 11.30am for a 12.30pm kick-off (website says 6.30 am thankfully) -
You are right but I am struggling to think of a club which is increasingly poor on the corporate sales side. They have even given up on milking the support now. There is still no shirt available and there is literally zero coverage that Sheffield Wednesday is on general sale. There is zero coverage today about the Womens side despite the obvious attention in that area. The link they provided to renew a Womens season ticket didn't work for the first twelve hours last week. Two weeks away there is zero briefing about digital tickets or safe standing. The website is full of pop-up's about the Fiorentina friendly which is clearly been overpriced. It should have been a loss leader to make a proper day of it. After initial bit of effort when the players returned, we are back to minimal effort. At a time when they need to create a siege mentality or just something, they are totally twiddling their thumbs.

Finners get it. I don't think I have two more contrasting atmospheres in the same stadium as England women and watching Leicester City play there.
-
Because it's a different demographic what follow it. I saw a metro article saying if the game mattered the pubs would have been full and everyone would have been half cut by lunch time. Well it's just a difference audience what's why and it's all the better for it. It's a new culture and different from the culture whereby mens football stems from. Reports the German games in Switzerland weren't particularly fun as the German ultra groups have started to lurk around while they had nothing else to go to.
-
Again another error. Should have partnered with a non-league ground in Leicestershire. The ground still would have been better quality than say Everton's ground. Kingsmeadow is by all practices a dressed up non-league ground.
-
I counter act your point by saying Rugby Union is absolutely huge in that area at grassroots level including the women’s game. So they have to compete against that But yeah I want to see the club actively be proud and loud about its womens side.

That's why I say look at what Bristol City have done when they achieved an average attendance of nearly 7k in the top flight
-
They've done the latter before. Minor boost on attendances. They need to get around the junior clubs with the girls and female teams. Into the community groups etc. It's been mentioned to me that one of the errors WSL is making for the non-big clubs (although its notable how the bigger clubs by default of TV move away from that slot) is that the scheduling directly clashes with when most girls football is played. The Women's game has a youthful following and that's not what I'd use to describe LCFC's existing fanbase. That's where it begins. If I am making these observations as a fan, then someone paid should be able to do it relatively easy. It has the opportunity to be an excellent gateway into Leicester City. How have Bristol City got those crowds is a good example to look at. They'd help themselves if they probably billed a gate as we want to hit five figures with this - shouted about it right from the top. Some clubs have attempted double headers as well. Or trying to make international weekend games the biggest pull.

Was my thought - he's ended up with a year extension on more money and the release cause is removed. The higher wage now sets the pattern for every other player at Forest.
