  1. The way the board of the 100 forms in October means the representatives of franchises now outweigh the ECB & counties. They have let the foxes in the chicken pen. The TV companies are supposedly ready to do a new deal which allows T20 while the franchises think they might be able to almost centrally contract players given in one example, one of the ownership groups owns franchises in S.Africa, India, UAE and now England. Suspect we will see the 9th and 10th teams announced in two to three years. Then it's shut up shop. Counties become second class. Can see a weird subculture of the County Championship gaining stronger support.
  2. Looks very much like the Hundred will be T20 within two years. Apparently it’s what all the investors want. In particular, the IPL guys
  3. It’s hard not to react to some comments today I will concede. That support for the LGBT community gets wrapped up in the Trust taking a political stance is a bizarre indictment of UK society
  4. Your latter paragraph is correct.
  5. No qualms. Two sides to Wilf. I read the other day he hasnt been the same since he caught covid. That’s spot on really. The lad got fully stuck into life at LCFC, enrolled in an Uni degree here, lived in the city for a long time and he was part of the rollercoaster. He’s never really downed tools and departs with my respect. He wasn’t the same player as he was but can’t really criticise either contractual how we dealt with. Woukd love to know if anyone came knocking at his peak
  6. He’s not comfortable outside of the sporting environment clearly. The comments about a Birmingham as a city and I’m getting all scared before going in a pub.
  7. They’ve bought land for a lot of money over the asking price. I await with bated breath that a stadium gets built there rather than a couple of industrial units that the capital fund can make a decent return on.
  8. They will have to by default regardless of division A lot of players contracts expiring and the FFP scenario (a very low loss allowance) means they have to go with gambles or youth
  9. I’d say the latter are not political and it’s nowhere near a comparison
  10. Due to internet traffic of people looking if their plane is cancelled or landings redirected
  11. No there’s a plane crashed on the runway
  12. Makes sense it’s unsafe at Ipswich in its current configuration. They went cheap with the rail and it’s not good enough for their dilapidated stand
  13. Ukraine was also a league introduced support. Such like a couple of other examples folk are pulling out. Worth noting that the Ukraine support actually led to some PL television coverage avross the world being played on delay, so Russia supporting nations could edit the coverage !
  14. When I visited Montenegro, three things stood out. The music is not anglicised, like it can be elsewhere in Europe and that was a big cultural sign. Despite their obvious grief, you had literally every Yugoslav nation holidaying there. It brought back memories of going UK holiday resorts when a kid, when visiting the beaches. People as families picnicking with food they’ve prepared themselves. Bringing every single item with them rather than rented or purchased ie, umbrella etc It was glorious raw, normal and ‘Simple’.
  15. Those scoreline read very Nuno Wolves after the initial success
  16. Yeah and Dave has some stuff lined up on the Fosse Way site.
  17. Yeah it's almost a Scandi way of life. Northern Croatia feels the same with Austria.
  18. Seeing as the club will take their time https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4371402/premier-league-2-fixtures-released-for-2025-26-season
  19. I scratch my head with the club having difficulties because some clubs abroad and here simply run it all through an app. For example, the app that the cricket Test venues use for tickets is so easy!
  20. Looks like one of Top's mates arranged a similar display in Times Square a couple of days ago.
  21. Very strange to have a statement like this but the captain decides to sign a new deal last weekend.
  22. You'd expect him in the Lions squad at least
  23. Simple deadlifts and squats will help no end.
  24. The Lions are playing in Australia just ahead of England so in reality we have 25-28 players in the country we can use. If someone stands out in the Lions game, they will get to the top of the queue.
