Leicester vs Peterborough United - Pre-Season
Leicesterpool replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I kinda of wished they played this at a local non league ground, just feel the atmosphere would have been better and bringing the club to the Leicestershire towns. I mean Hinckley Leicester Road or Barwell could have hosted this. Playing this at the training ground feels like a standard training session. -

Wilder did a great job in taking Sheffield United from league one to the Premier League in like three seasons... yep very impressive. But so did managers like Paul Lambert and Nigel Adkins with their respected clubs and where are they now in management?... manager's can have have their spells of success.

It's like watching paint dry, I think at times he showcases he struggles under pressure. Says something when Sheffield United fans who consider him a 'legend' 'one of their own' etc are glad to see the back of him.

He's desperate to get a move back down to London... just one problem no club wants him. -

Something tells me this game may not go to plan, result don't matter of course fitness important but embarrassing defeat certainly won't be encouraging. Going with a 1-1 draw. -
Cry every time she gets criticised... nah 😂

Just had the comment of the day at work... Part of my work we have invited to an event in Solihull, it starts 9.30am but they have asked staff to come in at 7am. Take note I don't drive so I would need get the train. So I email say "Yes we will be at the event, however earliest I can get there is about 9am as the earliest train won't get me there till about 8.45am plus a taxi from the train station to the building etc" Response "Hello can't you drive here, as it would be probably be easier than catching the train" Clever thinking how I never thought of that I wondered what the car on the drive was for... all these years of travelling by bus and train I could have used my car. So grateful to have smart people around like that, whose great knowledge believes every person in this world drives.

secret talks with the Leicester owners... no one must know... so come by train to Leicester in the middle of the day... no will ever guess. Very smart.

Tragic news, he was fantastic player. Thoughts with his family. Rip

Could start the season with points deduction then.

I don't think Carsley would be interested he seems quite happy in his role, he was offered the opportunity to manage the Republic Of Ireland national team and said no.

Plenty of choice now, there's more encouragement for zero alcohol.

Mind since when did Savage understand the word loyalty always very quick to jump ship. -
Keith Andrews will be gone by October international break, I don't see that appointment going anywhere special. Trying to follow the same trend as before appoint someone already within like when Dean Smith left they went for the assistant manager. Sadly I think there's difference between Thomas Frank and Keith Andrews.

His success only really came at Leicester, if you look where else he has been you can't say he set the world alight. Leicester just seemed the perfect project for him.

It's not breaking the rules, its more of a smart sensible move. Maybe more clubs should look to do this, to get round this PSR rubbish. -
Least we can say Pearson left the club in a better place compared to where he found it plus left on a high. Not many ex foxes manager have been sacked by the club who departed despite gaining some positive results. From the board's point of view the decision was understandable and in terms of recruitment the next guy they replaced him with did alright Back in the days when when Vichai and Walsh ran the show, when recruitment was perfect.

Even though Forest Green are in the national league, I still feel that Macclesfield are a much bigger club and capable getting back into EFL within the next two to three seasons. I just think if your going to leave Macclesfield least go for a bigger club in the EFL than a weird village team in gloucestershire that only one division above you. -
Is there any appointment that anyone find quite ambitious and would take you off guard if it was announced tomorrow. Obviously realistic names not like Mancini turning up.. like if the board say gone out and appointed Kasper Hjulmand as manager the former denmark gaffer.
