No cup competitions for Boro either, Fa Cup or Fa Vase. Not sure if they'll be in the Birmingham Senior Cup, though prize money ain't great in that's like £500 for whoever wins that.

Boro managed to claim a 6-1 over Paget Rangers in front of a decent 511 at the Oval, Bedworth. A really positive start by Boro, should have been four up in the first twenty minutes, Paget defence wise couldn't handle Boro and could have easily been double figures if honest. Interestingly the first goal came from Paget who scored with their only decent effort, Boro managed to react well and equalised within minutes. Ten minutes later Boro are leading 3-1, after this it was constant wave of attack from Boro and some decent keeping from the Paget managed to keep the score respectable. Louis Baker a player to watch, son of former Cov and Boro defender Carl Baker. In fact last time Louis was at Boro he played alongside his dad. I can't under Louis is playing so low, last couple of seasons he's been with Atherstone Town and Lichfield City at the level above and seemed to good for that. Good atmosphere all round with a lot of regulars returning, everyone seemed impressed with things with both off the field and on field. Club seem to be operating well under this new structure. A 111 season ticket sold on Friday which is fantastic at this level and whilst playing out of town. Bedworth United also rubbing their hands with excitement, not charging Boro rent but made a fortune in the bar yesterday. Long queues to even get in their yesterday!

Fulham v Leicester City - 24 Aug 15:00
Leicesterpool replied to phoneticerror's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Bought tickets, so which spoons in London the leicester fans going to takeover Leicester Square surely too small. Interesting enough QPR are playing Plymouth the same day at 12.30pm... possible for two games in one day, though leaving tight. -
Is it time to move things to higher level in terms of rioting is it a police matter or an Army matter. Once the police lose control... that's it. Whilst the army have experience of dealing with more hostile situation are more protected. These hooligans will back off knowing armed unit is present.

To many do good'ers around. A group of young lads could smash up a bus shelter and if caught they face no further action just slap on the wrist and told to go home. Police aren't allowed to do anything no more, arrest them... and the officers get questioned why and are made to feel guilty. Prisons maybe getting full, but the question remains who is in jail and are some seriously a danger to the public. I mean someone whose been doing for credit card fraud or whatever... bad crime yes but throwing them in prison for years whilst a guy who abuses and threatens members of the public is allowed to walk the streets.
-
But to still talk to some whose quite clearly a pedo don't look good. He could have blocked the guy and went to the police and instead of being in the dock, he would be going to court as a witness giving evidence. To be honest we don't know the full details yet, so more things may come out. At the end of the day, he probably would have continued to speak to this individual if he wasn't caught, even though he know full well what he was.
-
still downloaded them though and continued to chat with this individual for many more months. So looks like a cell at HMP Stafford is awaiting him, once a brief home to Rolf Harris.

Gets worse for Huw Edwards now been charged with making indecent images. Imagine the newsreader who reported on breaking such as 9/11, 7/7 and queens death turns out to be a nonce.

Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)
Leicesterpool replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Dont know but Southgate to Forest seems like something that could happen. They already appointed to former England managers not to long ago Pearce and McClaren both ended in the sack. -
Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)

Whose first for the chop... it's Ten Haag most likely. However wouldn't be surprised with Forest record with managers, if Nuno gets the push early if Forest don't start off well. -
The force awakens was kind of like a reboot by JJ Adams... that some interesting ideas but yeah it is a remake of a new hope, biggest problem with the recent trilogy was Adams missing out directing the second film. The last jedi took it totally different direction kind of felt like a really bad filler episode in a tv series. By the time the third and final came out with Adams returning the whole trilogy was derailed and turned into a mess. In the end Adams probably knew the story couldn't be rescued, so he just went out a created a stand alone star wars film, bring back the lando character... have one big bloody battle and happy ending of some sort. I'm not sure if that was the ending that Adams originally visualised when he started back at beginning with Force Awakens. Same happened with Bond really I some how don't think when they started out the reboot with Casino Royale in 2006 they planned to end it with *spoilers*.... Bond having a daughter and Bond being killed at the ending.

I seem to recall with Revenge of the sith... loving it in cinema. Then once I got on dvd and watched I was like... wow this is so long and boring. Similar to Phantom Menace at least 20 minutes of the movie should have been cut... I don't think a star wars should be any longer than 2 hours. The fight between Obi and Anakin (or Vader) spoilers... well whatever, goes on soo long. that probably is that extra 20 minutes too long. The fight in Obi series was way better. It's strange the end fight between Maul, Obi and Liam Neeson... is a long one but it was good as it was tense. This on the other hand... is 20 minutes of dullness Infront obvious greenscreen.

Paris Olympic Games 2024
Leicesterpool replied to EastAnglianFox's topic in General Football and Sport
From the bits ive sure its looked cheap and tacky. Poor weather has certainly made it bit of downer. Think its safe to say London 2012 really set standards high. -
Paris Olympic Games 2024
Leicesterpool replied to EastAnglianFox's topic in General Football and Sport
Shame we dont have team gb football team, it would have a great opportunity for the upcoming youngsters to get more tournament experience. Winning gold at the Olympics is perhaps more of an exciting achievement than winning the under 21s euros... not taking anything away from that tournament. -
Ex Managers - They used to manage us
Leicesterpool replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
In America manging Charlotte FC seems to be doing okay. Surprising really he would be one of most unlikely to manage abroad but good luck to him. Hes a decent championship on his day. I wont rule out him returning to England soon though if decent championship job came up... especially if the likes of Derby or his old club Sheffield Wednesday dont start off well. -

the Fa colours, is white and navy blue... We have not had red on England kit since 2018.
-
The old badge is a nice touch. Something the foxes could consider.
-
My problem is we dont include the colours of the flag. They seem to want to cut red part of st georges flag out. Even the away strips are blue or navy... Umbro got right in the mid 00s plenty of colour. For me kits have been the fa colours rather than the nation colours.

Seems like the Spanish getting their way and driving british tourists away. A lot holiday chains will be having sleepless nights, not forgetting the british owned bars. They will find themselves short changed in years to come without the tourism..
-
You do fear itll be that typical modern sequel... terrible not good as the first. Trailer does look good however.

Anyone ever attended like opening midnight release of a movie?

Next England Manager?
Leicesterpool replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in General Football and Sport
England would be such dominant force under him, a lot of Fifa and Uefa nations are probably fearing this will happen. Myself sadly don't think it will, Pep will finish up at Man City in May and then decide to take a year out like Klopp. It's more likely we will see Pep managing Brazil or Portugal sometime in the near future. -
America is a shambles in terms of its president candidates one is fast approaching 80 and been convicted of a crime and now the second candidate basically got top of the list cause the other person is too old and ill to stand in for another election.
