  1. Everton fans are bitter Nd masochistic bunch but I've found Goodison no better than any other ground for the majority of games barr some good noise after scoring. Move all the stands further away from the pitch, make the stands bigger/reduce the amount of close and reverberant surfaces and split people up and it isn't going to get better.
  2. Probably just the shitty 6 in favour of this isn't it. I can totally get where the players are coming from, but ultimately the problem is their own clubs playing ridiculous meaningless games in foreign countries for ££££ and FIFA and Uefa making the CL and club world longer. Same old bullshit.
  3. I find all this generational stuff to be daft. It's another form of culture war which generalises and puts blame at the hands of individuals when really it is systems and those in power that are at fault. Making out another generation of people is responsible for everything will keep the politicians happy - more division is good for those in high places.
  4. Shameless, Davie.
  5. Whilst that is very disheartening and speaks to how the biggest climate problems (imo) are ones of industry and governance not at the individual level, the article is 2 years old and is obviously still taking into account the pandemic.
  6. Musk and MTG claiming voting machines are dodgy despite Fox settling at $787M for their claims about the machines at the 2020 election. Staggeringly, Musk suggests we shouldn't trust a computer program... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/elon-musk-dominion-marjorie-taylor-greene-b2631928.html https://apnews.com/article/fox-news-dominion-lawsuit-trial-trump-2020-0ac71f75acfacc52ea80b3e747fb0afe
  7. Why on earth should anyone be embarrassed for not wanting to fight in a war?
  8. Had a nice Ruby at a local taproom (https://www.glenaffricbrewery.com/our-beers) I've been meaning to go to for ages but hadn't managed to until tonight. I could've had a fair few more, very easy down the hatch. Not on the website yet unfortunately. I love a Ruby but I find them increasingly hard to come by. It's always 4 different pales and maybe a Stout.
  9. The point in the last two paragraph is one I was thinking about earlier but struggling to articulate as eloquently. The money in the PL is to the detriment of our coaching. It's not the only issue but it is certainly a contributory factor.
  10. Horrific crash on M6 today in Cumbria by the sounds of it. https://news.sky.com/story/amp/two-children-among-five-dead-in-m6-crash-13234386
  11. Well then that's a different discussion really, isn't it, because Tuchel is our manager now.
  12. It's mental that the Jets now have Rodgers, Lazard and Adams and the OC all from the 2021 Packers.
  13. What does this mean? He's in the group of top managers, but one of the crap ones?
  14. My Director at work has gone on holiday for 3 weeks and didn't think to mention it to me before hand. Found out from a junior member of staff this morning. Gotta love a complete lack of communication from leadership.
  15. Amusing though it is that this is Forest, I think this is a joke frankly. Forest's didn't go about things how they probably should have but the standard of refereeing is shite and there's never any accountability for bad decisions. This is more evidence that those running the show are looking after themselves and not the game.
  16. You say all that but 4 years is a long time in politics, at least in the context of the amount of change we have experienced in recent years.
  17. Got a pair of these recently also - my first foray into earbuds for ages thanks to some John Lewis Vouchers. Very good.
  18. Feels a little bit like a mass murderer trying to offload their favourite two possessions
  19. Haven't seen CFA but really enjoyed Fisk. Saw last night a 3rd season is on its way, which I'm looking forward to.
  20. Was introduced to the NFL via Madden by a mate who was a Ravens fan back around '05. He had a Ray Lewis Jersey. That was it. It's been many things but never boring.
  21. Glad you're all sorted now, sounds tough. What was the vocal authority thing about? Did someone specifically have to verbally approve the exchange of contracts?
  22. What frustrates me about this conversation is that like everything these days is that things seem to be so polarised. He's a young lad who did well at Preston and there were many Everton fans who were disappointed they let him go. I don't think he really got much of a crack here, and given how Conservative we are being under Cooper it seems he will definitely better off playing for Stoke. I don't know if he's going to come good and I won't pretend to, but I'm not going to write him off either. Can we just see how he gets on without making absurd comparisons to the most prolific English Goalscorer in 20 odd years and the equally reactionary "he's shit (I've only seen him play 180 minutes)"
  23. The response to this is either gonna be none or a very curt one Fair play for bothering to.
  24. Can't wait for Sky News' Deadline day countdown.... "I'm outside Mars United FC, our sources tell us Steve Cooper is expecting Jordan Ayew to undertake his reduced gravity medical tonight.."
