In other club news: Ipswich are selling candles - but not to lifelong fan Dave who thinks candles are for women and doesn't understand wanting your house to smell nice. Arsenal are selling gnomes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgkyl44k7v8o

Do you think undecided/swing voters are going to be affected by any answer to this question? I wouldn't have thought so.

Dark days to be a Spaniard.

Only trouble with this is that it implies Everton are somewhat more competent than us

It is literally one of the definitions of a loophole. First definition of a loophole on google: People seem to be arguing the semantics and saying we didn't break the rules but we quite clearly didn't comply with the spending limits of PSR rules. There is no moral high ground for us here.

What does this mean? Is it a pop-psych term?

Fair point. We're all entitled to a moan, I just wish I could keep up with what's going on without reading so much of it is all.

The football forum at the mo. I've never seen anyone mention this Popov lad on here before (and had never heard of him) but there is more moaning about it as if he was going to be a regular feature up top. I'm as frustrated with the club as the next person but some posters are looking for the negative in bloody everything and it's so tiresome.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
ajthefox replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
It's a pretty good pass, pass of the season overdoing it though yes. More importantly, at 20s in there is a bloke holding a pasty who starts falling over the advertising hoarding and then takes another bite whilst nearly horizontal . Great stuff. -
It is going to be really interesting to see how the Chargers progress, getting Roman on board as OC will obviously improve their running game but Roman never really got the passing game going particularly well with Lamar so I do wonder how Herbert will fare. I think the Seahawks will improve this year. I have a lot of faith in Macdonald to succeed, he took our defence and took it to another level very quickly, did well with Jim at Michigan and although I've very little knowledge of Seattle's D I've no doubt he will get them in better shape pretty quickly. Their top 3 WRs are up there as one of the better combos and Walker is a solid back so they have a pretty good core on the offence even if Geno has a middle of the pack QB season.

Marc Albrighton Retires From Football

What a bloke -
Boot out whoever is in Europe that year. Might incentivise other teams more if they know the dirty 6 and/or a. another aren't in it. That said it does feel like the horse has already bolted and that the money involved now in league positions is deemed too important by clubs.

In simple terms the contract only really applies subject to them making the roster. He'll get $12,500 a week this season (no idea how that compares to his rugby wage) and if he gets a roster spot somewhere else I think the team picking him up would have to match the contract.
-
Saw a few highlights and his running style seemed notably different to what most running backs look like, which does make sense given there is more requirement for sharp lateral movement that isn't really replicated on a rugby pitch. You'd think if anyone can get a tune out of him the Chiefs would, but it is still early days and you can well see one of the other teams who was interested in him nab him from the practice squad. I think he'll be around more than the season but wouldn't be surprised if you were right.

Toronto based aren't they. They played reading and Leeds and have 3 gigs this week but they're all sold out.

I've been rinsing these ladies' latest album on repeat, the opener in particularly is a banger.

I expect @leicsmac might have some tips for you mate..
-
It's really not. At a personal level, it is a sign of basic decency and respect to make an effort pronouncing someone's name. It's not difficult.
-
This is odd.

There were some nice lines but it's hard to stomach this when you know it's club led. No slight against Serge but it feels a bit contrived.
-
I would say I feel similarly, but this forum is the pits at the minute. People are almost goading each other with all of their negativity over every single detail that is reported and assuming everything is A) true and B) a failing of the club. I don't expect things to go well and I'm not defending KP (they have form and this hasn't been a good summer for us), but I swear the malaise is being made worse by the constant pile on.

That is bloody good milage mate. Are you hoping to finish on Sunday? Keep going bud, it really is something to be proud of. The excitement for the end will kick in soon!

Worst season in the clubs history incoming.

Christ, give it a rest. We will not finish with less than 11 points.
