The same people moaning "RuDkiN MaStErClAsS" are the same ones that'd be complaining had we left it to the last week of the transfer window to get a few more quid, and ran out of time to sell players. The key to end game activity is replayability of content and rewards. Typically relies in RNG, but if you're an MMO player you'll expect it. I'm naturally bias, but Old School Runescape does this brilliantly. Better than any MMO on the market IMO.
