  1. We are allowed to be but there will always be a subsection of fans that will belittle you for being anything but happy clappers all the time.
  2. You’re not wrong. But he can’t be praised for a tactical masterclass when he’s rectifying his own bizarre selections.
  3. He has to make these mid game changes to counter act the choices he made at the start of the game.
  4. Would have included Vardy, Gray and Ricardo.. would have given us much more pace and directness in the team. If Vardy needs managing then play him in the games we have the best chance of picking up points as we don’t look the same team without him in, it shows when we cant get the better of lesser teams without him.
  5. Arguably you’d play your strongest team against the weaker team to have the highest chance of getting points. Its that tactical foresight i think Puel is missing. There is now more pressure on the game on Saturday because of the missed opportunity tonight.
  6. Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity but a point is better than none. Not for the first time this season we’ve looked uninspiring, slow and ponderous for large patches of the game yet still come away with something. I’m worried that this luck will eventually run out.
  7. Vardy has had niggling issues for a while now and is getting on. Okazaki is also getting on and is probably off in the summer and has never been prolific and Nacho has been very hit and miss during his time here. I think it would have been wise to add at least one more for competition and looking to the future. Maddison is a fantastic player but he isn’t an out and out striker.
  8. Not a striker and we needed a creator in the team with Mahrez leaving. As proven tonight, you can have someone creating but if they aren’t being put away there’s an issue. Luckily tonight the creator has turned scorer. As an aside i’m not slating all of Puels dealings in the market - we did well this summer but I feel he may have overlooked the need for a striker.
  9. Papers over the cracks but i’ll take it. 1 point is better than no points. Lets hope we commit an absolute robbery and get all 3 points.
  10. Exactly and Puel deemed them good enough otherwise we will have signed someone else which goes back to my original point. Yes he may have inherited them but so far he’s not deemed it important enough to bring in competition in that area and he’s had 2 windows.
  11. No i’m not saying its FIFA and you just reminded me of Musa which backs up my point. They may be hard to shift but they were shifted and it boggles the mind that we shifted out 3 strikers and didn’t bring a single one in. One striker in to add competition and depth when 3 have left isnt asking the impossible at all, its actually a reasonable thing to ask for..
  12. He had all summer and probably longer to assess what we needed and obviously deemed what we had good enough. It was known for a while that Ulloa and Slimani would be offloaded but Puel did not press for a new striker. Same with CM he’s placed his faith in an unfit James and a returning Mendy. I dont even want to get into Ghezzal. Puel has to take some responsibility for this, he cant be absolved of everything. He’s the manager at the end of the day he should be highlighting to the board where we need improvement.
  13. Again we are in a situation where we are having to be reactive. The biggest issue at the minute is the team is unable to build any momentum or have any kind of consistency. No doubt we’ll draw this game but it feels like another opportunity lost at the minute.
  14. The team put out has enough about it to win this game but again 4 changes slightly robs us of the chance to build momentum and confidence ahead of Saturday.
  15. Yeah the fact we’ve not had a settled starting 11 all season. Every game theres several changes. When it looks like we have the chance to kick on and build some momentum theres a raft of changes and the team looks berift of ideas and confidence. Brighton away was a prime example with starting with Okazaki up front and Iborra in the middle with Mendy.. That was a winnable game but he set up for damage control from the start. Whilst Morgan has improved lately he was struggling earlier in the season but was still starting ahead of arguably better options at the time. Its the inconsistency of his decisions really. They would actually be solved by some consistency and maybe we wouldnt be so boring to watch and we’d be winning more games.
  16. He’s not helped himself in the past few months with some of his tactical decisions and choices. I did say if he picks a strong team its winnable but prior evidence suggests he’s more than likely to make changes and not for the better. Its been a while since there was a settled team that had a chance to gain momentum, we’ve got an extremely capable starting 11 and given the chance they could do really well.
  17. This game is 100% winnable provided the manager picks a strong team without any bizarre selections or formations. I’m trying to give Puel the benefit of the doubt but it would not surprise me if the starting 11 had no strikers and no pace anywhere on the pitch.
  18. Puel picked close to what would be considered the strongest starting 11 available with no bizarre selections and the result speaks for itself. If he keeps this up he’s more than welcome to stay in the job. I’m hoping the penny has finally dropped and he quits with the needless and random changes.
  19. No surprise that Puel doesn’t make a bizarre selection and the team actually look half decent. Cue 5 changes in the next game for no explainable reason.
  20. It wouldn’t be a Puel lineup/matchday squad without at least one completely bizarre selection.
  21. People will bury their head in the sand and say its not an issue with the manager but that of the players but they are wrong. Puel is at fault for picking Morgan and other teams have exploited it by putting pacey strikers up against him - This is an example of Puel being out thought tactically and the ramifications of that is Morgan getting sent off for making desperate challenges. Other wise I think its the style of play we are implementing because everything is slow and patient even the transitions between defence and attack are so if we get caught out during one of these slow transitions we are on the backfoot and desperate challenges are made. There have been exceptions I.e. Vardy and Maddison but it is definitely an issue that needs addressing by the manager.
  22. Another result that papers over the cracks for me. We looked a lot better when Vardy came on but i don’t see that as a ‘tactical masterstroke’ as some are saying, more like walking back a bad decision from the start. Too many times the changes and tactics from the start are so bizarre and so wrong and the football we are playing is dull and uninspired. The manager needs to get some consistency and stop with the bizarre and random changes, it doesnt send a clear message to the players and it shows. Its either this or he needs to go.
  23. I think its time that we have to put emotions aside and as a club start thinking logically again. What happened was a tragedy no doubt but it doesn’t mask the fact that for the best part of a year Puel has looked tactically inept and there has been no signs of anything improving. Todays bizarre team selection has proven that and the team are playing like a bunch of strangers with no faith in the system or the manager. Its past time that Puel leaves. He has to go.
  24. Not good enough for this level and whoever decided to spend 12 million on him should never be allowed near transfers ever again.
  25. Puel must have money on himself to be the first prem manager sacked this season. Team selection is bizarre. They have no clue or urgency. Reeks of a desperate selection, one last throw of the dice and its failing. He has to go.
