  1. Very good performance. Shows what this team is capable of when they aren’t restricted to a hit and hope style of play!
  2. In response to my comment I actually said quality CMs King is not quality, the Jury is still out on James andIborra. That left us at the time with NDidi and a want away Drinkwater and a want away Mendy.
  3. Its not pretending at all when its his responsibility remember the statement when Steve Walsh left? It said Rudkin would be taking up his responsibilities too. It is a failed window everybody and his dog knew we were light in quality in CM before we let Mendy and Drinkwater go yet they were allowed to leave and were not properly replaced. Don’t want to continually tread over the same ground with the Silva debacle but that was handled in the amatuer way. As for all the players signed in the past 3 windows on average there is only one change in the lineup from the team that won the title so that suggests the players coming in are not of a high enough standard.
  4. If they can get through December - February its all theirs.
  5. Just curious as you’re staunchly defending the fellow when all evidence points to him being a bit crap. Directors should be held accountable and this bloke seems to manage to get away with everything despite the past 12+ months of constant failings on the Football side of things. He gets paid and probably very healthily to ensure the football side of things runs well and 3 failed transfer windows, time spent in the relegation zone, the Silva debacle, being notoriously slow on transfer deals and 2 manager sackings suggest things aren’t running well and overall its his responsibility. These guys were happy to take the plaudits when the team won the league so they should stand up and be counted when things go to pot.
  6. Are you Jon Rudkin by any chance?
  7. You can piece this together pretty simply from the bits that do come out from behind the scenes i.e. the shifting of responsibility for the Silva debacle coupled with the fact that all senior management left Shakespeare to field all the questions on it when it is known it wasn’t his choice or his responsibilty. The DoF should have at least attended a presser and said we will be taking no questions on Silva as it is an on going and complicated process instead they left Shakespeare to fumble and basically say i don’t know. For all his faults as a manager that wasn’t in his remit and was totally unfair to let him deal with it with absolutely no support. That gives you an idea of what type of character he is and all of us have come across a similar type in the work place.
  8. This is because he spends most of his time trying to hide his inadequacies and going infront of the media will highlight them for people to see. His worst nightmare.
  9. Seems a little bit of pressure is being applied in the media which is going to put him under scrutiny. A place he exactly didn’t want to be. I have full faith the cockroach will survive though.
  10. This is what I don’t get. NK has been acting aggresively for a long time now yet some how they are still the victim because it needs to fit a certain narrative to portray Trump in the worst way possible. Trump isn’t and never will be the greatest President or Person but the narrative against him blows every thing out of proportion and there is very little perspective or balanced views. Also Hillary Clinton would have said and done very similar things if the roles were reversed and she’d probably be portrayed as brave and courageous for not being ‘bullied’.
  11. This is a manager that's also pretty much unwilling to drop any one from the title winning team. I fully believe if Huth wasn't injured Preseason then Maguire wouldn't have had many minutes so far at all. I don't believe the manager has an objective view in this. Amartey could be fantastic at centre half in training but he won't get in the team.
  12. I wouldn't say its animosity in a literal sense. I just think people are starting to look past sentimentality and are now seeing a very limited manager who's really struggling. As fans we went through this last year and the similarities between the situations mean theres just no patience left because we know where this rut leads.
  13. Because he's the director of football and he's in charge of all transfers? Ultimately the responsibility lies with him. It would have also been on his watch that stupid statement was released about Silva trying to get more money out of Chelsea. Also how many of those players from that successful academy era are now playing at a top level? He's not very good at his job but he's very good at keeping it.
  14. It completely was. We tried to play Sporting but they weren't having it. It was ridiculous to publically state that we were only signing Silva if Drinkwater was sold which caused Sporting to up the price as they knew we'd be desperate. In the end instead of pushing through and getting the deal done saving millions on the fee the club have to now pay a player to basically do nothing which equates to another big loss in millions. How Rudkin is still in a job I never know. He's cost the club millions and also affected matters so much on the pitch we could be facing relegation and further loss of earnings. In any other club or line of business he would have been given the boot. The Thais need to stop being so sentimental and become businessmen again.
  15. Haven't you been here these past few weeks? Nothing is Rudkins fault and never will be.
  16. Throw silly money at Allardyce hes already been making noise about coming out of retirement and has a very good track record with teams like ours.
  17. Has to go for me. We are playing worse than we were under Ranieri and the players look even more disinterested and unmotiviated. We haven't got time to 'give him a chance' he's had his chance and he's failed we've been awful since we went out of the Champions League. If we get dragged into a relegation scrap again we won't escape it this time around.
  18. You make some very valid points and its hard to disagree on most of them. However its been mentioned before that Chelsea have been sniffing around DD for a while and were for all intents and purposes going to eventually come back with an offer we deem acceptable - They would have been waiting for DD and his agent to push the club internally to see if they can keep the price down, they were always going to come back as they were desperate. We would have also known Mendy would be moving on it as its been stated both he and the club thought it would be best so coming up to deadline day the club would have known we'd be potentially 2 good CM's short. So I agree they did fly in Silva but what did they do once they flew him in? Mucked him around and said we are only going to sign him if Chelsea meet our valuation which in turn made Sporting demand we cough up more cash. If we just pressed ahead with the deal the club would have saved upwards of 10m in both transfer fee and wages they now have to pay. Chelsea still would have met the valuation for DD. In my eyes it was completely amateur to play the situation like that and its backfired spectacularly, that's why we are 'a joke'. Finally Amartey is not a central midfielder and how he's been deployed this season at RB shows that's how he sits in the managers thinking too.
  19. The lad will need consistency in performances and position and he'll turn out to be very good. If he gets dropped the minute Mendy is fit and starts playing right back/right wing again he just won't develop into the player he could potentially be.
  20. The city forum is bereft of intelligence and reason at the minute. That really grinds my gears.
  21. Things like this give me Dexter Morgan like tendencies. He really shouldn't be allowed to breathe.
  22. Managed to get my hands on a very good copy of The A-team. Personally i thought it was awesome, More Comedy than some Comedy films and more Action than some Action films. Totally over the top and the cast is absolutely perfect. Its not much on storyline but if you just want to disengage and have some fun then this is the film for you.
  23. I found the ending to be good if you find the correct mission
  24. Got bored so banged in Terminator 2. What a great film.
  25. Sounds like the perfect day.
