Not tactic related. Just an observation I made and wondered if I was alone. I watched Enzo’s full 22 minute press conference earlier on the OS and he didn’t come across great I didn’t think. He seems a bit miserable and unhappy with being questioned. Not sure if it’s just me or anyone else agrees? I have made allowances for the language barrier but I still felt that from him..

I won’t pretend that I’ve seen this lad play loads but I have seen him for the England u21s in the 3 games so far. His kicking is fantastic. He’s bloody huge and when called upon he’s been solid. He hasn’t been tested much in the 3 games so it’s hard to state with any confidence how good his shot-stopping is when compared to Iversen but I can safely say his kicking his a level above. What a bloody interview that was! Got home from a long day out and wanted to watch both interviews. Harry’s was also good but Connor Coady just makes you feel proud. Also, the fact that he said our training ground was the best ever, when you know he’s trained at St George’s Park speaks volumes. This does not feel like a club sticking around in the Championship for long. Make coady skipper 💙

Seems a silly decision to A.) sell one of the only players we have with Championship experience. & B.) sell to a promotion rival. I’d rather we kept Hamza and hardly ever play him than sell him to a promotion rival. He came through our academy so cost us nothing and I can’t imagine his wages are that much or Watford wouldn’t have signed him on loan. not a fan of this idea.

Christ Ian Stringer is a great commentator. A bit of a knob by all accounts but that guys voice never broke. Owen Palmer-Atkin just doesn’t live up to it.

I’m sorry but £10m for a 27 year old who will be too good for the Championship is not a bad deal at all. He’s a mid-lower PL player with the right CMs around him. I can see him and Hamza forming a nice bond in the middle. Also, this not the championship we left behind 9 years ago. £10m for a championship club now is still a fair amount but it’s not astronomical. Heck, we paid £5.5m for Matt Mills and that was well over 10 years ago.

I’m gutted to see Madders leave. I’ve absolutely loved the guy since he signed. I’ve always felt like he gave us 100%. Even in the relegation battle when he wasn’t at his best I felt like he was trying too hard rather than just giving up. His interviews have always been class too. I HATE Spurs with a passion and he’ll win **** all playing for that pathetic bunch of bottlers. But I wish him every bit of luck along the way. Having said all of that, £40m seems a bit low imo. Even with add-ons.

I would have thought that journos would take note of fans opinions. We watch the team week in week out. We know what goes on. If the vast majority of fans think BR is to blame then he probably is..

Someone with a proven track record of promotions for a start. Someone who has managed a football club and not just for 14 games. Someone with a bit more experience I guess. He’s a big risk. A bigger risk than I would have liked our club to take in what is probably our biggest summer window ever. Having said that, I guess the club just want him to coach and they’ll sort out the rest.

Is this a good appointment? I have absolutely no idea. How can I? I hadn’t even heard of the guy until a few weeks ago. In fact, I still don’t even know how to pronounce his name. For the most part there seems to be positivity around this. Though I expect that’s mainly because people are choosing to be positive with very little justification. Sorry to be cynical but I doubt 99.9% of FT members had even heard of Enzo what’s his name until now. I also doubt any of you know anything about him outside of what Wikipedia says. I appreciate that he was a player first but my point stands. I’ll back the guy 100% but I’m not happy about the appointment. I’m also not annoyed or disappointed. I’m just, merh.
