Missed the game tonight. Not too sad about it. Might misplace my ticket for Saturday. What a mess. The only saving grace is that it’s probably easier to play against Southampton than Blackburn. Sounds mad that I know, but a team rock bottom is more likely to fold than a team towards the top end of the championship.

We all moan about our lot being too passive….we’re on speed compared to this Palace side. Their players look like they’ve all been sedated!

I mean, we didn’t play to lose. We just didn’t play well and they defended really well. Because they’re much better than us. Southampton have just lost 1-0 Leeds. Forest just lost 4-0 to a team who have only scored more than 2 goals in a game once all season before today. We lost 0-1 to the champions elect. That’s perspective.

Against a ‘dog water’ side yeah. But against arsenal who are far better in EVERY single department and with our best player unavailable i would say 0-1 is about the best result we could have hoped for. This is where we are right now. We can be brilliant in one off games. But we’re not a good side. We need investment and possibly a new manager. I just don’t think booing when we’ve lost 0-1 to Arsenal is good for anyone.

Not sure booing at FT having lost 0-1 to the best team in the country is going to help lift moods. Some of our fans really need to google what “perspective” means.

You’ve got to have some perspective though. They are top of the league and far superior to us in every way. It’s not been good but if we nick a 0-0 here I’ll be absolutely delighted.

Back in the squad this weekend. I cannot wait to see Rici back out on the pitch. I just hope and pray he can stay fit. When he was at his best he’s probably the best attacking full back we’ve ever had. Also, just watched the LCFC Community video that was posted on the OS. What a lovely, genuine and kind hearted guy he is.

Nacho is great with link up play and will set the two wingers in behind nicely and makes clever off the ball runs as well as being arguably the best finisher at the club. However, he may end up getting in Maddison’s way and vise versa. If that is the case then Daka stretching the back line with Maddison feeding balls through is the way forward. Either way, it’s nice to have some options finally. Then if we’re winning we can pack out the midfield with the energy of KDH being vital later on in the game. I hope Souttar is fit enough to start after his minor knock and I’m hoping that BR is ballsy enough to put all three new boys in!

Very good window. It would be a better window if Albrighton stays. I think letting him and Perez go with only Tete coming in weakens our squad even though Tete strengthens our 11. But I don’t begrudge Albrighton leaving at all..
