No brainer for me. Take him on loan with an option to buy and we don’t take that option if he’s not good. Or an obligation with a number of appearances required and if he’s not doing it when bench him towards the end of the season. Either way, he improves our squad and provides another pacey, attacking option!

If KDH is still a Leicester player by midnight tomorrow, do we just say “sod it” and try to build a really solid team around him? Presumably we’ll have to accept that a second penalty for beaching PSR will be coming so we may as well just build a squad capable of winning enough games to stay up even with the point deduction(s).

Let’s be honest - if Potter had been a complete and utter no from the start, there wouldn’t be half as much negativity around the Cooper appointment as there is. We’re only frustrated because this time yesterday it was Potter and now it’s actually Cooper. But let’s just get behind him and stop making jokes about his face. The guy does have a decent reputation in the game. He’s just not got that je ne sais quoi that we all wanted after Enzo. Cooper, you weren’t my first choice. Thing is, I respect your opinion. But, those same idiots got it right with pretty much every single managerial appointment over the last 10 years. Maybe you could make an argument against Puel and I’m not including Dean Smith in that due to it being such a short reign. Our signings have been largely hit and miss. But our managerial recruitment has been pretty spot on… Don’t get me wrong, I wanted Potter. But I’m not as anti Cooper as so many seem to be.

Very different indeed. It looks as though he will want a double pivot which will suit us fine if Wilf stays. If he doesn’t then we have another CDM required. The only thing I’m not confident on with his set up is the fact that the wingers appear to be more wide CAMs rather than out and out wingers. I loved seeing both Fatawu and Stephy as wide as can be last season. It looks to me like that will change. You could throw a blanket over his front 3 at Brighton..

Whilst the club has had a very mixed bag when it comes to the success of player recruitment over the past 10 years or so, their record when it comes to recruiting managers has been pretty decent. NP got us up and kept us up. Ranieri did what Ranieri did. Shakespeare saved us from going down and got us a CL Quarter Final. Puel stabilised the club and made us a possession based mid table PL club. Brendan took us in to Europe twice and won us two trophies. Dean Smith can’t be judged over 10 games really. Enzo won us the league and got us back up at the first time of asking. I trust the club with management recruitment. I suspect it’s going to be Cooper. Partly because he’s a cheap option and we have to be FFP wary…I’m ok with that.
