We were struggling to win games, team didnt look comfortable with the system, and whenever either KDH was not playing or the opposition had the confidence to attack us we usually didnt win. Our reputation led to many teams playing for a draw which contributed heavily to the cushion we built. We incapable of playing confident attacking football due to the tippy tappy remit from the ownership. We also havent had a balanced squad for ages as high wages are crippling our ability to shape the squad. By this I mean that most teams these days bring in circa 10 players every summer to shape their squad, we usually do less than 5 and tend to be last day panic deals. We cant do the same as we always up against the spending limit, and due to high wages cant shift players to make room.

The ignorance on this is interesting. Its as if no one including ourselves has never signed someone who has only ever scored against weaker opposition and no player has ever successfully been played out of position. Klopp and Pep must be idiots as they have done it several times.

Happens a lot in football. It isnt football manager computer game where you just slot, people in their allocated slot, you guys all seem to be very obstructive, defensive, and not very open minded. It happens much more often than you think, the best managers do it, and we have had success with it in the pass.

Its gone further now, you have the mid tier teams, wanting to cement an advantage to newly promoted sides, and those who have made some bad decisions (under FFP type systems bad decisions you forced to live with now, instead of spending your way out of it). Clubs who havent got a clue, will just keep failing of course, we just keep spending right up to the limit and giving out over lucrative contracts.

Its more then that, like other teams they built the squad before bringing in the manager. Build a young team, that fits a manager you want, only after the team is built, then move away from a pragmatic manager to that manager.

Yep as a keeper average, he is rated up by people who think keeper's main role is to pass the ball out the back rather than stopping goals.
