So far, looks like that is exactly what is going on. Everyone is for sale it seems, and we have only signed a 38 year old keeper. Sad times.

If he doesn't sell and continues this way, then it will be worth even less in the future when we are a midtable championship or even a League 1 club. I don't see any ambition so far this summer, to make us a Premier League club again. Our value is dropping the longer he stays.

I'd sell him, but has Rudkin and Top forgot that we actually need to sign players too? We are barely going to have a squad at this rate.

Top has given up on the club. Everything suggests he is winding down his ambition and support. He is just keeping control because of his Father's legacy. We will become like Derby and more likely to be relegated to League 1, than promoted.

His injury is the only thing that will keep him here for 1 more season. He would have been gone too if not. Enjoy him this season, Rudkin will be desperate to sell him next Summer.

If we play the likes of Ayew, BCR, Soumare and Co. We will be midtable at best. If we play the youngsters, it will likely be the same outcome, but at least we will be developing them for the future. Either way, unless we surprisingly sign a load of players before the window closes, we are a midtable Championship club now. Thanks Top and Rudkin.

I think this player leaving will be what finally breaks the back of us and consigns us to the Championship for the foreseeable future. On the face of it, £32million is a great price for him, but taking into account what we are left with, and the lack of transfers or even rumours, then I don't think it can be understated how big a loss this is for us at this level and for making us competitive in attack. Palace is a great move for him, so good luck to him. I sense he wanted to leave anyway so there is that as well. Barring a surprising late haul of 5-6 first team players being signed, I don't think we have any chance of promotion this season.

My thoughts too, unless we sign 5-6 players in this window. Looking very unlikely though. Our downfall very likely to continue.

Just imagine if the window closes and it's Ayew and Daka... how hilarious would that be? I'd probably laugh all season.

If he doesn't demand some signings in this window, then I think he will fail here. I don't think any manager could get a tune out of these players currently.

I think Dyche would have already demanded we signed a number of players and pushed out anyone who wasn't up for a battle, like Soumare, Ayew, Skipp etc No way we would be so soft at the back either. Dyche for all his faults, would still know what is needed to get promoted. Not sure Marti does, yet.

If he has got anything about him. He will call a meeting with Top and Rudkin Monday morning, and tell them that unless we sign 5-6 first team players, then we will be nowhere near promotion. He should also tell them that he will refuse to play some of the highest earners, as they are not good enough or up for the fight. Problem is, I think he comes across far too polite and inexperienced at this level to demand this. Prove me wrong Marti. Your career and reputation is on the line too.

This transfer window will make or break us. We are on the edge of being stuck as a Championship team for years to come, unless we bring in 5-6 players in this window that have a big impact. The fact we have started the season with Ayew as our lone no.9 striker and Soumare in midfield, is a disgrace. Not to mention other choices, like Thomas at LB etc. I think the odds are against us having a good window though, and we will likely be stuck with what we have for the season. Depressing times.

He is working with a squad of players that either don't want to be here, or are not good enough for a promotion push at this level. We knew this already though, so that is why he was not my first choice. We needed someone who would take a no nonsense approach IMO. Already, he is starting players that have proven time and time again, that they are ineffective at any level. I think unless we sign 5-6 players before the window shuts, then we will be midtable at best and perhaps even worse with how toxic the support will become. He will get the usual 15+ games from me, but I think his success will be completely dependent on the transfers he now does. He won't get a tune out of this current squad, not with the way he plays or who he is putting faith in.

Share some concerns on who we have to start at RB now. Ricardo jumps from injury to injury, and Coulibaly who? Hamza not good enough at RB long term either. Will likely need to sign someone.
