  1. We don't have the budget for an announcement.
  2. Major red flag is playing Soumare Ayew was actually OK in some games last season. Hoping we sign a striker to start so don’t have to use Daka
  3. 350 will be sexier as a fellow OCD guy
  4. But but buttt he potentially plays youth players. That overrides any and all crimes against humanity!
  5. He won't go to Forest. He left here on near perfect terms and he just needs to find a club that will give him a 2 year deal and game time, like Rangers or a club in Spain or Italy would be great. I am hoping and suspect that this is just some clickbait rumours as they know it will get a lot of clicks.
  6. @SecretPro has been taken care of. Let this be a lesson to everyone.
  7. You know the official announcement is going to say that '...^insert name^ was the outstanding candidate and our Number 1 choice from the beginning... I think you are spot on, and people may laugh, but I genuinely think Dyche has been our number 1 target for the last couple of weeks, and that is why he was at Seagrave and has been consistently at the top of the betting market for weeks. I suspect he wanted too much money and was also weary of getting into another messy situation like he had at Everton when he first joined. I think that is why we seem so delayed in interviewing other candidates and there has suddenly been a rush of names over the last few days, with Gary O'Neil and Wilder likely interviewed along with contact with Rohl and now Cifuentes. Let's just hope that our 3rd or 4th choice, won't be as bad as our last one.. Cooper.
  8. I meant managed so little, in terms of what he has achieved so far, not the number of games he has managed at different levels. But, I take your points. I am not dismissive of his job at QPR, I am just not overly impressed either. As you said, he did what he was tasked with and avoided relegation in his first season, just. Second season was similar, but with some tricky circumstances to Manage under, which will come in handy under Top and Rudkin. I am not against this appointment, but I am also not that excited either. It is the roll of a dice with a lot of unknowns, and I understand why fans prefer that, as they can fill those unknowns with their own positives and hopes for what he might be. Time will tell, and I will support him and hopefully we get a Maresca type bump!
  9. I am not too bothered on nationality, but it does seem we are extra critical of British Managers with success and failures, but are too quick to roll out the red carpet for someone with a foreign name, a short career (at high a level) and a lot of unknowns. Some mixed views from QPR fans but considering they finished 18th and 15th and there are still a lot more positive reviews than not, that is undoubtedly a good sign.
  10. Not exactly true, but can you blame me with the names we have been linked with? I am just not easily taken with someone who has Managed so little so far and not proven much apart from surviving relegation in the Championship with a poor but not one of the three worst squads. As with Rohl and as with my first post on Cifuentes, I said I will support him if and when he comes.
  11. Seems to be a way to keep the fan base happy. Foreign name and the less we know about a Manager and the less they have done = Get him in!
  12. Sometimes, I think fans just want a foreign Manager. His record is nothing to shout about and still so much unknown. I can see people are spinning this into a lot of positives though, but I don't think this is a particularly inspired appointment. I will support him, but there are a few red flags for me. Let's all hope something clicks with him and the squad.
  13. Change your pictures buddy. It's happening.
  14. Dyche still an option?
  15. It is a NO from me. If those veneers catch the sun at the King Power, he will blind half of us in the stands.
  16. and this is usually exactly what happens. We can moan all we want on a Football Forum. I still support new Managers, as I am sure a majority do. I think O'Neil is the most Cooper appointment, since Cooper! But, I will still want him to do well for us.
  17. I am pretty sure it is going to be Gary O'Neil. Such a vanilla appointment. He could do OK, but I suspect we will struggle and be scraping playoffs at best with him in charge. This is our new reality folks. Managers like Cooper and O'Neil, and probably be back in for Wilder when we sack O'Neil next year. Championship for the next 5+ years just feels inevitable with the way things are heading. I am just hoping King Power are forced to sell us due to their problems back home. Until then, it is going to be grim.
  18. Anyone else starting to believe we are overthinking all this Manager delay stuff, and we are just genuinely screwed and crippled financially?
  19. Rudkin says “Nahh”
  20. Are we just refusing to pay his compensation then? Hoping we can get him cheaper or for free if we hold on?
  21. Love Kingy, but this isn’t his time. It’s a huge job and I’d prefer him to earn his stripes first. Hope whoever comes in keeps him around though
  22. It’s either because we are waiting on Rohl, or we are working our way down the list as we are being rejected. As bad as these clowns are, it makes zero sense to be sitting on our hands at this late hour.
  23. How do you know we do want Rohl?
  24. I don't see Wrexham doing much at all. Reality will finally kick them. They will do well to avoid relegation, which I think they will just. Birmingham for the playoffs I reckon, but won't threaten the top 3 or 4 teams at the top. Ipswich proves it can be done though, but I just can't see it this year from either of those two.
  25. I agree. But I do miss winding up the OG chancer themightyfin in the Transfer thread. Those were the days
