  2. In theory less traffic, but that would only make sense between 8 and 9 am and 2:30 and 3;30pm.Otherwise potentially more traffic during the whole day as families are more out and about outside of school hours. Also@leicsmac there's a LOT of this ultra fast broadband cable laying right now. Also AFAIK, warmer weather makes resurfacing/redressing easier. There's also more daylight hours so work can go on for longer each day, thereby shortening the whole length of time for digging up/repairing/installing underground projects.
  3. Ugh, that dress. No one wants to even get close to seeing what she almost revealed as she stood up.
  4. With apologies to @Free Falling Foxes, his post regarding a craving for beetroot, prompted me to ask this in a new topic. For me, I often crave Piccalilli. I put this down to my parents who used to give me corned beef and piccalilli sandwiches for school lunch at least twice a week. I also sometimes crave raw cabbage. And I love the smell of newly laid tarmac when I drive past resurfacing works.
  5. I often get a craving for gin. What vitamins do juniper berries give you? Actually they're quite good for you. Unfortunately not when they're used to distil into gin. 5 Emerging Benefits of Juniper Berries (healthline.com)

  7. Maybe they were in lieu of a cash donation: Each individual sweet could have a street value of around NZ$1,000 ($601; Β£468), according to the New Zealand Drug Foundation.

Oh FFS. Equally there's a body of people like you that believe these "miscreants" will always be on the wrong side of society. FWIW, I'm "sick and tired" of you and your narrow minded posts.

  11. I went to the pub last night for quick beer. Everyone in there was covered in a painful rash. Turns out it was shingles night.
  12. Necessity is the mother of invention. Or in this case, convection.
  13. I've considered one. I assume yours is a free standing one. I was put off because I'm a light sleeper and I thought the noise would disturb me.

  15. Enzo had charisma, enthusiasm and presence, albeit with a misguided "experiment" in the style of play he imposed on us. I'm struggling to see any of these attributes in Cooper. He looks and sounds dull. I can't imagine him having any banter with players that can make a difference to team building. Just reflect back on the charismatic guy from Italy we had that gelled and enthused the team. A one off man that gave us a one off season. I could imagine the players would give a testicle to play for Ranieri.

I think he's a psychopath with associated narcissism.

The length of the sentence isn't intended to reflect the number of views the posts had, FFS. As said earlier, it's a flag to others like him that they run the real risk of being locked away for an unexpected length of time. Or, maybe he got a year for each brain cell he engaged when posting.
  18. Wordle 1,148 5/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 That was disappointing, especially for me

  20. Been there, done that. And that's how I know it's not a "mistake".
  21. In that case, I've got a ball of string worth approx. Β£ 1 million
  22. Snoop Dogg paid for "being at the Olympics": Venture capitalist Henry McNamara shared gossip he’d overheard about how much Snoop is supposedly making on social media – and it’s pretty jaw-dropping. β€˜Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner,’ he claimed in a post on X. β€˜He said Snoop gets paid $500k (Β£392,165) a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.’ If this information is accurate, Snoop would be earning more than more than $8.5 million (Β£6.64m]) for just over two weeks of work.
  23. In my case, I hope I am the same in both.
