I wasn't comparing them any way. Just saying they have both been on I'm a Celeb, both were poor. Both stayed until the votes and then stayed because of their visual appeal, as misogynistic as that may sound. I was just saying, being crap but, having whatever it is that the TV production company wants to secure viewing figures, works in their favour. Grace Dent wasn't unpleasant and she went of her own free will, but I suspect she wouldn't have gone very far in the public vote. The photogenic contestants that were rubbish in previous series had some kind of influence on viewing figures. At the end of the day, it's 3 weeks of puerile, irrelevant but quite entertaining, nonsense TV. Better by far than the reality bull that is Love Island and others of that ilk.

Back in the day, poor contestants had some other erm... "attractiveness". That kept them in the jungle. We remember the jungle shower with Myleene: And Kate Garraway: Both rubbish but both had a certain... je ne sais quoi, shall we say.

I've looked on eBay and elsewhere online but I can't find a clip that matches. There's generic clips for the headlight but none have the same bent angles as the one I lost. I bought one from Amazon but the clip is at the bottom of what is effectively, a bowl with a hole at a right angle. The telescopic probe doesn't bend so is useless in this situation. A friend has given me a magnet with a hole in that I can tie to a piece of string and do a bit of fishing around with. Fingers crossed I can retrieve it

When I was a Gateway Grammar school in 1970 we had the first ever school computer in the city. It took up almost an entire classroom and took almost an hour to load and solve a mathematical question. And that's all it did, maths. The questions were on hole-punched cards. You had to feed the cards through some device that could recognise the pattern of holes which would then, eventually, print out a sheet of the calculations and the answer. I think it was called COBOL.

I went Friday. 10 mins queuing. The queue started at the Costco roundabout. I have never queued for more than 10-12 mins. 3 and a quarter hours is ridiculous. Was there a fuel delivery causing the delay? Also, why did you sit there for that long?

"Historians might quibble over the exact details, but by most accounts, there are no periods in history that have been free from war. Much of recorded history has also been filled with imperial or colonial occupations, where a powerful nation uses force to rule over other nations". Source: University College, London.

It's a meaningless game, this. But I feel the need to not be beaten by it. And I want to do as well, or better than other regular posters. What is missing from my life? It's just idle enjoyment for a while each day.

From my house to get to town , I have to turn right out of the junction into the main road so I am approaching the right angle of the centre line and the give way lines. The number of drivers I have to avoid as they turn in and cut across the centre lines of the junction I'm approaching . Jeez. Lack of awareness, lack of consideration or just plain lazy driving. Probably all 3.

Full of M&S and Waitrose punters on mobility scooters driving directly into your path whilst cursing and spraying spittle as they go.

Doesn't the Batlight go on before you can get away, though?

There's a quip in that sentence, somewhere.

Whenever I watch YouTube videos of our games last season, I always have nightmares in which Rodgers is a raptor with tiny arms, a stupid grin and a notepad, leaning over me saying: " get ready son, you'll be on with 12 minutes to go. Just do yer best but make sure you don't make any forward passes. Remember, a pass to Danny is always your best option. I'll just make a note of that so I can refer back to my notes to make sure I don't do anything positive".

Who is this FT poster of which you speak? Have they had at least one ban from Gen Chat?

Since this post, she didn't trash her flat or kick doors in or cut her throat. We knew this was unlikely to happen but at the time of crisis, anything is possible and we needed to take action to mitigate the potential outcome. However her mental health continues to decline. Mrs P is the target, for reasons we cannot work out, and since Saturday, she has received a constant bombardment of abuse by text and voicemail until her VM inbox is full. So no more VM's can be recorded until some have been deleted. Result!. No voicemails, but the texts continue. Today alone, Mrs P has received 210 abusive, hateful text messages all with the same content of accusatory, nasty, vile, vitriol. We are at a loss as to how to stop it. We have considered a complete block on her. We have thought about changing our numbers but that alone brings worries that, in the real event of an emergency or something serious happening to our daughter, we would potentially not know until it's too late. We've considered involving the police but the potential for escalating her paranoia and the possible consequences of an arrest or a criminal charge have given us grave doubts about doing this because it could result in her being evicted under the housing association rules on "criminal behaviour". Then she's really in the shite. It feels like we're hamstrung by rules and circumstance as well as compassion and the desire to keep her safe, despite the intolerable situation she has created for us. It's difficult to give the full expanse of the trauma of our relationship with our daughter on here. If you could listen to the voicemails or read the text messages, you'd most likely be shocked and appalled. I do wonder, at times, how me and Mrs P carry out our daily lives without breaking down. Our close friends wonder the same. I feel I should feel hatred and anger toward our daughter and I do at times, maybe often. But at the same time I feel so sad for her because ultimately, she is unwell. Forgive my rant but this feels like the only place to let it out. Anonymous venting of feelings can help.

And Braverman is going to use this figure to do some more back-stabbing: From The Independent: "Suella Braverman has launched another stinging attack on Rishi Sunak β claiming the prime minister is to blame for the governmentβs βslap in the faceβ failure to stop immigration from hitting record highs. In a fresh bout of infighting, the recently sacked home secretary joined right-wing Tories condemning the βembarrassingβ net migration figures and called on the PM to take urgent steps to curb the numbers. Ms Braverman said she had βpushedβ a five-point plan to bring down numbers on legal net migration while in cabinet β suggesting Mr Sunak had refused to act. Challenging the PM, she asked: βWhen do we say: enough is enough?β

What's even more odd is that you'd actually take the time to email flightradar over this.
