You're correct as is the case, as I understand it, with most deserts. What I don't understand is why. We get searing heat here during the day but night temperatures don't drop by much. Deserts have their own eco/micro environment systems I guess. Maybe @leicsmac could explain.

I mean, in a desert, hot cups of tea, black berets, whatever those socks are, and the one guy wearing long trousers and a jumper. Tanks with no aircon must've been unbearable but they got on with the job and smiled. No such fortitude these days. Maybe because it's not necessary in these modern times of "luxury" and technology and we've become weaker as a result.

Because you're not allowed to do that, as several on here could testify, even though the words they used were implicit.

Me either FIFA farce for revenue imo. Expand the number of teams in qualifying and bring them in to the groups. The smaller countries that reach this stage attracts interest from sponsorship and, therefore, money for those countries but, more importantly, FIFA. FIFA is not about football at any more. I can't think of any other worldwide sport that is less corrupt.

How are you coping with the temperatures there. Here, schools are closing, offices are sending employees home, people might die, nobody is behaving responsiby and we're having to be told by the government to drink more water and wear a wide brimmed hat. Ridiculous.

Have you got a TV licence in order to watch this.? Fux sake why say that?
