I watched the documentary on the team effort to save the twelve kids in Thailand. British cavers along with others from around the world, combined to get them out alive. The whole thing was an amazing watch. Sadly one member of the Thai army died trying. Tham Luang cave rescue - Wikipedia

I've just watched The Selling of Sheffield Wednesday on BBCiplayer and the parallels with us are startling. We're funked because Asian/Thai businesses and the multi millionaire business owners wanted to own/ invest in an English club because it was the thing to do. Their knowledge of the EFL was next to nil. For Chansiri, see also Top after his dad passed.

Yeah, but unlikely given the lack of police presence. (As above).
-
That's certainly in highway code, as is the use of a car horn. Can only be used to make other road users aware of your presence on the road and not as a rebuke or greeting. Nor can it be used between the hours of 11pm and 7am. I very much doubt the (virtually non-existent) traffic cops would bother.

Same here when we tried to get a building compliance certificate from a company that celebrates Eid to be told that the office was closed for Eid.

Would you say the same about the natives of other Euro countries, eg. Italian-ness, Frenchness, Swedishness etc. We do seem to have our historical culture and sense of identity changed rather more than most other European countries.

I'm sending Tommy Robinson round to yours.

It's Chang o'clock.

I hope you get it sorted. Meanwhile, here in Hinckley, it's muggy with a bit of breeze but no rain, disappointingly. The temperature hasn't really dropped by much either. We have a south facing garden so there's very little respite from the sun. It's going to be hot and sticky in bed tonight.

I got sweet FA, again. -
Don't let kids become dead kids. Just because the parent survived being chucked off the bridge in Abbey Park, doesn't mean the kid will, but the parents do seem quite risk averse because of the second bit in bold.

Caves and underground systems are known for being at an almost constant ambient temperature.

I rarely eat from a buffet, particularly the salad cart at Harvester. It's not just people using their fingers, I've seen kids having a pick of their noses whilst choosing salad.

One the most innovative tools back in the day. I still have one. I used it frequently when we got our first home and did a lot of DIY. Now with smaller battery tools and such, it has become pretty much redundant. That said, someone needs to develop a battery screwdriver that will be able to access small tight spaces.

So when the weather is like this, what do you choose to eat? Barbecues are the obvious answer, I know. We had planned roasted pork spare ribs and rice. Went for Greek salad and cold chicken in pitta instead. With a decent glass of something refreshing, it was like being abroad. Well, apert from the humidity and only the dogs paddling pool to go for a dip.

Thanks. I just didn't bother to do the maths, but I'm eternally grateful that you did. Just a whimsical memory, that's all. Nothing serious.

I admit I did catch a car with mine in a carpark today (not Aldi and not a scrape, more a rubbing). I was fortunate enough to be able to rub the marks off and then park some distance away. I doubt they'll notice

It's usually whatever charity the store is supporting. Asda recently was for breast cancer and IME it's displayed on the screen.

I'm sure we all remember 4 years ago when the temps were in the low 40's. How did we cope then if we're complaining about 30-32 now? I had a black car with black interior back then. Getting into if after it been in the sun for a few hours was unbearable.

July 2002. Friends went there later the same year.
-
I'd rather we lived a more temperate climate where the highs and lows are less extreme. We went to the Canaries several years ago in July and it about 26 on average which bearable. Friends went in November and said the temps were around 20. I don't think these places exist anymore.

Spurs are pretty dire as well tbf

We're in a political mess when these types seem to keep being elected to even local government, never mind Parliament. Why have our once proud political values sunk to such a disgraceful level?
-
Not quite sure of the point you're trying to make.

It just goes to show the type of people Reform attract and what the party itself stands for. The only thing that could've made it worse is if the 60 year old had been non-white, which in a way is unfortunate as that would have heaped more criticism and dislike on this horrible Party. Or maybe not, depending on the way their supporters think.
