I felt quite the Jack The Lad at the time.

"Greasers" or "Grebos" From the early 70's. Didn't like the "mods" or "skinheads" and there would be frequent meet ups for a scrap, particularly in places like Southend or Skeggy. They used to be renowned for carrying motorbike chains to a fight.

If we're talking coats right now, I had one of these in 1975. I don't remember the cost as it was gift from my late uncle. I treasured it, but it marked me out as a bit of a target for "greasers" at the time.

Sorry. This is bollox. Do you really believe that if Hamas give up their fight against Israel, that the IDF and Netanyahu will say OK, thanks, we'll leave you alone? Both sides want to wipe each other off the face of the world. Problem is superiority. Israel has by far superior military, weapons, financial support etc. They are the dominant force in this. The issue for me is, that dominance is being directed at every Palestinian, regardless of age, innocence or guilt, civilian or armed soldier. It's totally indiscriminate. Israel will destroy Palestine and they won't care about who gets blasted into kingdom come.

Well, the guy dressed as a native American Indian sure stood out. He clearly didn't get the irony of his costume.

The world knows this yet still allows it to continue under the guise of Israel's "right to defend itself". Abhorrent, unjustified and criminal.

Dawn French, a former "celebrity" (always overshadowed by Jennifer Saunders) makes a statement that should not have been posted. She comes across as ignorant but, is she wrong? Tracey Ann Oberman, herself Jewish, is bound to have an opposite opinion. And be supportive of the actions of the IDF and Nethanyu. Is she wrong? I believe so. Unfortunately there's going to be plenty said by other minor artists at Glasto and elsewhere, trying to make a mark in the media.

I can honestly say I have never fallen out with either family or friends. Neighbours, however...

They didn't mean it, they accidentally pushed him to the ground. Jeez people, have some compassion for these poor children being brought up in poverty and difficult circumstances. They should be at home with their parents right now, getting free school meals. Or better, be on holiday in the Med for educational purposes.

Prisons are full. Avoid sending offenders to prison. There are educational courses in juvenile detention centres, so the excuse of the custodial sentence is bollox. Lots of kids have tough upbringings and can be very difficult to control/discipline but they don't go on to murder someone.
