  1. Never been a fan but one of my mates is keen.
  2. 6 I’m glad we got some players out for decent money to help balance the books and brought some fresh blood in, who on paper should be decent in the championship. Just find it depressing how far we have fallen so fast that we can’t pay even a transfer fee for anyone. I can’t muster any excitement about much around the club at the minute.
  3. Have the Monday they are at Rock City off for my Birthday but am already out on the Saturday and Sunday, might be one of those where I will try to get a ticket too and see how I feel.
  4. Very good
  5. Went to The Hives album release show at Rock City, already had tickets with non city supporting friends before sky moved it. They were superb, as usual, whipped the crowd up into a frenzy and then called it a day after 40 minutes. £28 including a signed CD, so wasn’t expecting that much but Rock City were showing a 8pm start with a 10pm curfew so I thought they might do 60-75 minutes. A bit of effort getting home from work and charging into Nottingham for what it was. Left feeling a little like your missus had taken you right to edge and then announced she wasn’t really in the mood, rolled over and gone to sleep and you couldn’t nip to the bathroom to sort yourself out.
  6. I spend quite a lot going to certain gigs. I was thinking about Suede at Rock City, but £49 for anyone at Rock City is a no for me. I get there’s a lot of smaller venues closing and expenses are all increasing but you’re going to have to keep prices realistic in relation to the venue.
  7. No mate wasn’t me. Must have been a few of us there then. Would consider it again but would want to be staying local. I had tickets for the phonics in Cardiff but couldn’t make it, booked the Sandringham tickets and then they announced a load of arena dates at the end of the year.
  8. They were, it was a good day all round. I had seen the blossoms years ago but they didn’t impress, thought they were excellent. We bailed out before the last two numbers and avoided most of the chaos. Booked to see the phonics in December in Birmingham.
  9. If Skipp/Soumare doesn’t gel soon and Marti insists on playing them I’m going to have to start questioning what he’s seeing that the rest of us aren’t. He’s on a free hit at the moment but we’ve been on this track before we’ve had a few seasons of seeing underperforming players being consistently picked for no logical reason. As a fan base I think our patience has been worn down a bit.
  10. I don’t know how I feel about this. There’s just so many on the list I would like to have seen out the door before him.
  11. Coldplay tomorrow night. I find their music a little bland for my taste but I’ve always wanted to go for the show. Had cheap a cheap ticket and hotel for their Budapest show a couple of years ago but the flights that weekend were ridiculously expensive so I cancelled. Picked up a ticket on Viagogo for what I’ve paid Ticketmaster to see a few artists in the last couple years so going for it. 80% above face value but what I was willing pay. Not exactly a fan of viagogo, particularly the ‘traders’ on their who farm tickets for events just to resell but as I was nowhere near getting one in the presale or general sale and nothing has appeared for genuine resale so it was the only half decent option left. Official Ticketmaster transfer yesterday so all should be good. @Sol thewall Bamba If I find myself back at Watford Junction shirtless I will have questions as to how the evening went
  12. OK just my thoughts. Top isn’t Vichai, I’m not sure he was ever cut out for that role unfortunately tragic circumstances pushed him into it. Covid battered King Power and in turn hurt us. BR was right the squad needed investment that I’ll give him, the fact that he couldn’t get the talented squad at his disposal to somehow avoid relegation I can’t forgive him, some of his decisions and selections were just petulant. King Power aren’t football people, this club is a bit of a sideshow for them. Rudkin is their football guy, Susan Whelan handles the business side, as she had done prior to their involvement with us. I honestly think Rudkin is untouchable, it almost feels like if they got rid of him he would be the only person they could turn to, to ask who his replacement should be! There’s a total disconnect between the club, the players and the fans. For the last two seasons it feels like the club have sat down monthly and gone ‘Right what petty decision can we make this month to piss off our supporters?’ You can’t have players putting themselves out there bitching and whining publicly for a move all summer and then expecting the fans to be 100% behind them. We also can’t be booing a team off at half time in the first game of a new season under what looks like a decent manager who has only been in the job a matter of weeks. I do feel the frustration. We have fallen spectacularly but I don’t think we’re anywhere near bottoming out for the serious rebuild we need to begin. Any enthusiasm I had for this season has gone. I’ll try to get behind them but the club and the players have got to meet me half way.
  13. Budget Hospitality for My Chemical Romance at Wembley and Martin O’Neill at De Mont. It’s been an expensive few days.
  14. Every single drop of optimism I had Sunday morning has drained from me. We have some serious problems, too many of those player’s are just going through the motions.
  15. Well I won’t have to waste another two hours of my life watching them in the next round!
  16. In the tone of the game….. awful!
  17. Honestly do we care ?
  18. I’m assuming Soumare will be taking one of their penalties he seems to be doing his best for them.
  19. Our defence is appalling!
  20. That looked a pen.
  21. We’re really not up for this are we. Just put us out of our misery if we can’t be bothered. We’re too pedestrian and second to everything.
  22. Nice to see we’ve steadied the ship and took control after the goal
  23. Richard Ashcroft, Easter Saturday in Birmingham .
  24. Off to see the Stereophonics at Sandringham on Saturday. Was really looking forward to it, then read some of the reviews from a couple of years ago and the organisation was horrific, food prices are extortionate even by concert standards. Even now they are saying leave at least 120 minutes for entering and exiting the car park. I know it’s in the middle of nowhere and the vast majority will probably be driving there but it’s on a private estate in the middle of nowhere, how busy do the roads normally get in North Norfolk late on a Saturday night ? Other than the traffic leaving the estate I can’t imagine much more being around. Anyway they’re supported by Jake Bugg and Blossoms and I’m going to write Sunday off. It will be a good night!
