    New Kit

I haven’t read the entire thread but any chance it’s not out yet as we’re trying to secure a new sponsor ?
  2. Not my biggest love, I prefer much smaller venues. Unfortunately if you want to see any of the really big artists you have to bite the bullet. There’s no stadium in the midlands of any real size so you have to travel to Cardiff/Edinburgh/Glasgow/Manchester or London to see them. Any localish hotel price is instantly doubled or trebled. I’m at Wembley for Green Day next Saturday and in a weak moment months ago apparently booked a drop and flop room at Holiday Inn at Watford for £140. I’m going to cancel that and drive back. They keep increasing capacity of these venues but the public transport facilities to get away just keep operating on a standard timetable. Ticketmaster are pretty much legalised scalpers through their premium tickets and resale where you actually get your tickets days before the gig. Customer service is non existent because of the near total control they have they couldn’t care less. I would vote for anyone in this GE who was willing to aggressively take on companies of the likes of Ticketmaster who just continually abuse the market position they have. That’s never going to happen.
  3. If you can do a bit more spur of the moment have a look on Twickets nearer the date. An awful lot of what sells out instantly becomes available later on.
  4. I think the days of the King Power love in are over for us. They seem to have shifted their position to align with any other owner in the league. Having said that I think at the moment it’s better the devil you know.
  5. Foo Fighters at West Ham last night, very good but there’s just something that doesn’t quite click with me that would move them into that great category. I went with a mate and we both felt that way going in and the same afterwards. I don’t think the London Stadium is a bad venue but the stage seemed so far away unless you were prepared to stand for hours to get close to the stage. Most football grounds the stage sits in the penalty area but because West Ham have those big gaps the goals I don’t think the stage even reached the start of the pitch. A good night, would definitely go again but wouldn’t be heartbroken if I couldn’t get a ticket.
  6. Er….seen Springsteen five times since May last year ( The 6th at Wembley on the Thursday in July and I’m already considering the Saturday night!) …. I would be tempted if it was logistically possible.
  7. They’re awful but I’m not surprised, just the way the club is. I honestly don’t feel any anger though, the club has drifted so far away from me I just don’t feel anything anymore. I don’t care who our new manager is, what the kit looks like, who we sign, all of it. My season ticket is just vehicle to meet up with my mates and have a bit of a laugh every couple of weeks.
  8. I was amazed when they made the triple substitution with 10 minutes to go he stayed on.
  9. Even for him that was incredible slow.
  10. I just can’t engage with Mark Pougatch on ITV, just something in his voice. Love their pundits over the BBC but he’s just killing it for me.
  11. Just binge watching Jana on BBC iPlayer. One of the best Scandi crime series I’ve seen in some time, although by episode 6 it is getting a little oh FFS stop going off on your own and take back up.
  12. One of my favourite players of all time, occasionally exposed when asked to play right back but a sublime winger., I really hope our new manager in waiting is green lighting all of this. Letting an intelligent footballer like Marc go and giving Vesty a three year deal on the same day with no manager in place is a bit odd to say the least.
  13. In the provisional squad, how good a season has he had ?
  14. The problem they have, and frankly I don’t really care, is that they purged the parliamentary party of any moderates in 2019. Whoever gets the job is going to be as batshit crazy as their recent predecessors. They really only have the option to continue down the road they’re on, to have any form of reset from such a low base is going to take a long time. Labour’s biggest opposition won’t come from the other side of the house but the Tory dominated media and the trolls and bots on social media churning out their crap until enough are taken in.
  15. Labour Majority of 160. I’m going for slightly lower turnout due to voter apathy and the belief the result’s a forgone conclusion. After having Bridgen clown around as our MP the residents of North West Leicestershire still elect a Tory to parliament.
  16. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c899pz84d8zo Ticketmaster hacked, the irony of a company having system which tries to make it near impossible to use being hacked.
  17. Honestly not bothered about him staying or leaving, he came in got the job done. The only real constant at the club are the fans. The short length of time he was here, his apparently attitude to our supporters at times and with the type of football we played, never really had me warming to him. I have very low expectations of next season whoever we have in charge, but we need to get them in quickly.
  18. It takes a very special club and fan base to unite 99% of neutral supporters in wanting them to fail miserably every single season. I’m struggling to think of another team in any sport produces that kind of feeling.
  19. They have a cunning plan… https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/how-leeds-united-raise-ps90-million-in-unwanted-player-sales-this-summer-to-fund-ps190m-transfer-bill-4596773 Owing a net figure of £188 million in transfer fees but it’s OK as they are going to offload the players that they have loaned out after taking them down. The only issue is that everyone knows how desperate they now are to offload players and may play hardball. If they don’t get rid they have to take them back or try and loan them out again. I know we’re in a mess but It’s not very pretty I tell thee.
  20. Shall we have a whip round for their £90 million
  21. We’re going to need 6 blankets and 6 motorway bridges. Leeds Leeds Are Falling Apart Again
  22. Please Southampton see this out.

  24. Went to Springsteen at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday. At 74 he turned it on for three hours in non stop squally rain. I saw him at Cardiff a few weeks ago and I thought that night would be hard to beat but Wednesday was at least on par. It’s looking like he just used last year’s dates as a post Covid warm up for this year.
