  1. I quite enjoyed the latest edition and I don’t have an issue with any of the views that were mentioned. There’s not much to be optimistic about. Two weeks out from the start of the season. We have a points deduction hanging over us, we’re trying to attract players who realistically are only going to come for the money because we’re not offering much else. We’re supposedly offering £25 million for an Argentine Under 21 wonder kid one week and the next week we’re looking at Jordan Ayew. The club has done it’s best to hack off the fans all summer with digital tickets, eye watering match day increases, bang average kits with dodgy sponsors, £10 to watch training games and finally after all of that they send out fan engagement emails. They are just taking the piss. I won’t be getting on Steve Cooper or the player’s backs this season, none of what I’m expecting to come our way can be put on them.
  2. No issue with Junior Doctors it’s just not a good look. I’ve never forgiven Gordon Brown for abolishing the 10% income tax rate in 2007 and adamantly stating that no one would be worse off, when everyone could work out the lowest paid would take the biggest hit. I turned my back on the Labour Party for over a decade after that. When it comes to the Labour Party punching down on the poorest in society I can easily turn my back on them again.
  3. I fear my Labour Party membership is living on borrowed time, there needs to be less punching down and more punching up. It hasn’t played well somehow finding 22% for Junior Doctors and dropping the fuel allowance for pensioners. I get there are wealthy pensioners who don’t need it. The push to get another million on pension credit is an absolute joke, the form filling, box ticking, evidence providing for someone only to go ‘computer says no’ because the signature was outside of the box is not going to get some 80 plus year olds on board.
  4. Play 'em all! Attack, Attack, Attack!!
  5. I keep telling myself I’m going to swap out of the tech fund I have in my SIPP, it has done incredibly well but just seems to have levelled out lately it edges up and falls back again. I’ve got a frozen DB scheme which I’m probably going to use in place of taking an annuity. Two DB pensions, one closed one active, which are in the default funds and now I’m 55 they are starting move into more stable investments. The SIPP was always something I used for more diverse or slightly riskier investments but I’m starting to consider how to invest that as well.
  6. If you want it I would buy it now before they put online shop behind a paywall.
  7. We have a fixture clash with the Tiger's on 21st December, as they are already set to be on TV (every game is!) it looks like the Wolves game is going to have to move.
  8. I don't have much sympathy for them, they want their actions to draw attention to their cause well here we have it. Having said that the Government want to reduce the prison population and we have to be looking at some form of alternatives for non violent crime. I want anyone carrying a weapon doing five years, I want those riding around on scooters looking to nick whatever they can in broad daylight banged up and off the streets, I want rioters who overturn police cars and smash up buses sitting in a cell considering their life choices. I want climate change activists so preoccupied in working in the community that they don't have time to protest against anything. They were an easy collar, not wearing a hoodie or a ski mask and not making any attempt to flee the scene of their crime.
  9. Not had any notification but just logged onto my ticket account and it was available to download and add to my wallet.
  10. I'm hoping we have pulled the plug. It's obvious he doesn't want to move here, the only reason (and I know footballers are a mercenary bunch) he would choose us would be for the money. Loyalty to the City aside your options are Rome or a relegation fight in Leicester, i'm choosing Rome.
  11. I emailed them about it last week, apparently all new mobile passes are due to be emailed out this week.
  12. What do we do? It’s become obvious Southgate can’t seem to get the best out of what’s at his disposal but somehow we keep doing well at tournaments but failing to get over the line. Do we go with him again ? Personally I’ve always thought he was a FA yes man and tactically he’s as dull as his personality but I don’t know who we look to for us to take that final step.
  13. Not sure we need to change anything but it’s going to come down to who takes the chance when it comes.
  14. Pretty even so far, Spain edging possession but nothing more than that.
  15. Thought Stones had been done then but great recovery.
  16. Still not Southgate’s biggest fan, he’s had some easy routes to get us to the positions we have and I think that he’s been getting credit for some results that have been achieved in spite of him and not because of him but I’m letting it all go. I’m 55 I’ve seen my club win every major domestic trophy and I would love to see England win something. I think we have a very good chance if we get our tactics right and don’t play into Spain’s hands.
  17. Anyone had their mobile ticket update to the first game of the season. I had one last season and I thought mine had but then I looked yesterday and it moved into the expired passes and I moved it back to the current passes but there’s no info on it.
  18. Off to see AC/DC at Wembley tonight if they play Thunderstruck during a thunderstorm I think the place would explode (hopefully not literally!)
  19. I’m messing about on my phone with it on in the background, it seems a little better than what I’ve seen so far.

    New Kit

It’s just very bland. I know there’s only so much you can do with a blue shirt but surely it could have a little more pizzazz than this. ‘Foxes never quit’ 14 months after we downed tools and threw away our premier league status.
  21. The Gaslight Anthem at Rock City next Wednesday which could clash with England’s Semi Final. Still going the gig, nothing is won at the semi final stage.
  22. I will be voting Labour primarily as i'm desperate to get the Tories out and secondly as i'm a party member. I'm socially liberal but on the economy i'm conservative with a very very small C. There are certain aspects of the Labour party and Keir Starmer's leadership that worry me. Maybe it's because i'm approaching my golden years but there seems to be little regard to the issue of Social Care in their manifesto, it's a timebomb they just appear to be ignoring. From a party that brought about the NHS and Welfare State they should be aiming higher. There was an interview the other day where Starmer was asked if there were any plans to drop the percentage of a pension that could be taken tax free and he totally fluffed his answer, they later put out a press release saying there were no "planned" changes. A lot of things aren't planned, not exactly convincing. They appear to be very anti rejoining the EU, and I get we can't be flip flopping every decade, but there only reasoning seems to be "Well we had a vote", well we had a vote to elect the current bunch of clowns five years ago, on that basis maybe we should just stick with them. They seem to have adopted the "Stop the boats" mantra in their manifesto just to try and avoid losing votes to Reform and to me that feels off. I've a feeling I won't be a member of the party when the next election rolls around but they've got 5 years to convince me they are up to the job. I'm no Corbanista but i'm not happy with them being Torylite either.

    Concourse Sale ?
  24. Another good listen. To be fair if there was any consultation the club would never be able to layout anything close to the full financial situation we’re in. It is a business and has constraints. Within hours it would all be over here and social media. I know we kicked off a little about season ticket increases and the card charge but in comparison to match day prices they were nothing. If we go down, and let’s be there’s a good chance, it will be interesting to see what happens to match day prices.
