  1. I hope you're wrong too lol. I remember a game, we were 3.0 up at half time but Brendan didn't like it. At half time he changed it and was very happy with the 0.0. second half.
  2. Yeah, I think it's a combination of players misfiring, as you pointed out, we still created chances, players missing and others covering and respect for tougher teams. There should be a few questions answered with the next run of games and players returning and hopefully seeing Braybrook and Alves get some time. oh, I forgot Cannon as well.
  3. Yes, now Enzo has had a chance to have a decent look at the squad, it will be quite an insight to see what we do.
  4. Enzo said at the beginning of the season, the need to get more players in the box so I'm wondering why this seems to have stopped recently. Ndidi and Mcateer were both good at getting in the box so that could be part of the reason.
  5. I'd be amazed if we had the right players for the system given the short amount of time Enzo has had, and given the injuries to Doyle and Ndidi. I think the system is the way to go. People compare us to Man City but in my opinion, we are more like Brighton. I also think this is a good thing as with a system, it's easier to replace players who move on. We used to rely on players' brilliance before and they are not so easy to replace.
  6. His passing was the first thing i noticed about him at the world cup.
  7. Brighton confident of signing him apparently?
  8. I agree, I can't see Justin as #8, I think there are far better candidates. I think given his age, power and running ability, Fatawu could adapt to that role.
  9. People forget how long it took Klopp, Pep and Arteta. For me, Maresca is doing far better than I had dared hope for. Not sure what some people expect.
  10. Every time I see Fatawu, I think he'd be great as an 8, perhaps instead of Casadei at the moment. We've played Akgun there but I think Fatawu would be better with his running and physicality.
  11. I suffered a broken leg from a tackle that resulted in a "corkscrew" break from the impact down to the ankle. I therefore think Yunus will be out for 3 weeks.
  12. I wonder when we have Keith Stroud again?
  13. Absolutely, what I mean is the confidence. At 16 you're more likely to want to get rid of the ball to early, than try to hold it too long. .
  14. He played in an FA cup game and got told off by Brendan for holding on to the ball for too long!
  15. Interesting statistic, I'd be inclined to go with the team coming to terms with the system as I can't imagine Vardy lacking confidence.
  16. The problem with the Premier League is the same as with any other business I’m sure we've all experienced it at work. You've got small customers and big customers. Everyone knows without being told you bend over backwards for the big customers. You pull a small customer's job and tell them the machines broken for a big customer who wants something quickly. The Premiere League now has 7 rich clubs who are the big earners for them. The fan bases around the world are massive they want to watch Man U against Liverpool, not Fulham against Leicester. Same with Sky, they both benefit if the rich 7 are doing well and referees are effectively employed by the Premier League, no matter how many layers you put between them. That's, a massive conflict of interest, even if you don’t believe corruption exists. The fact is, the more money and power, the more corruption, so why you think football is exempt when every other big organisation has it, is your choice. Remember the 2019/20 season where Man City were banned from the Champions League for the following season. If we finished in the top 5 we’d be in the Champions League instead of Man City. We all knew that couldn’t be allowed. Was anyone surprised when the rule was changed halfway through the season to allow Man City to take our place? Remember when the then big 6, tried to break away from the Premier League? They returned to be told they would all face huge punishment. What punishments did they receive? VAR has made it even worse. Another poster mentioned last week that it's almost got to pantomime levels. Every time people start to make comments about VAR being biased toward the rich teams, somehow a report appears that points out it's not true. It somehow says that smaller clubs have benefited from VAR, not the big teams! And before anyone says we all think the refs are against us. I’m 57, but apart from the odd game, I’ve never thought the refs were biased against us. That's changed since 2015/16. The 2019/20 season when it looked nailed on for a top-four finish, yes we didn't play well in the run-in, but the amount of decisions that went against us was pantomime. This season there have been a few bad decisions but I don’t feel any bias against us.
  17. Absolutely spot on, if this happened to Leicester in the Premier League we would hardly have got a mention at the end of motd.
  18. It was against Liverpool!
  19. The performance on Saturday was about as dominant a game as I've ever seen. Some of the passing was brilliant and winning the ball back, and defending from the front was unbelievable. I'd hate to be playing against us.
  20. TBF there used to be a video, I think it was before a Denmark game or training where he ran up and hit a ball from about 40-45 yards, like an arrow into the top corner past Kasper, who didn't even have chance to move and there was no wall either!
  21. It does make you wonder what the players were told to do last season.
  22. I thought I was the only one who felt like this. I agree with every word you've said.
  23. jumpers for goalposts
  24. On a slightly different subject but still under the "Maresca Tactics", I feel a lot more confident going into the last 10 minutes of games. Even supporters who aren't fans of Maresca's tactics must think this is better than when we bought on another ineffective defender and camped in our own penalty area.
