  1. Was he good at the Euros? I think I saw all but one France game but I must have missed that. Mind you they were garbo generally and he wasn't the main culprit.
  2. What's the opposite of dodging a bullet? Jumping in front of a bullet I suppose.
  3. Wasn't sure where to post this but I met a Bournemouth STH last night who told me there'd be no away fans at the game in October because of the construction works. This can't be correct surely?
  4. I know we wouldn't have scored but was pretty mental that the referee blew up bang on 94 minutes when there'd been little play during the 4 minutes added time.
  5. I think Southgate can leave now with his head held high. Ultimately his record in terms of numbers is up there and yes England aren't in the habit of going all the way. Who gets the job next is a more interesting question but it's not for us to answer.
  6. Sounds like nobody else would match his wage demands, so good to know given our financial issues we've signed up to pay him more than anyone else will for 3 years!
  7. some are finally being honest, some are still in denial
  8. Rudkin masterclass
  9. As big a prat as the bloke is it's a great political calculation from Lee Anderson. Defecting was the only chance he had of holding the seat and now it looks like he saw this election and election result coming. Can't argue with it.
  10. There was a bloke called John Rudkin standing in my constituency. I made sure to put a big cross next to his name so they knew I didn't want him to win.
  11. Tough sell for them when bleating hits reality given Brexit is directly implicated in the small boats issue and they can't campaign on changing the electoral system without opening the door to Brexit being unpicked. For what's it worth Labour have the same issue on the other side of the coin in that in the cold light of day they'll have sell the message that the way to stop the boats is to start unpicking Brexit.
  12. On what basis, out of interest?
  13. Up and getting ready to leave - presiding over a polling station in Ealing today. All I can say is however you plan to vote, please do go down to your station and cast one!
  14. Another blinding King Power success. Thanks John!
  15. Decent move for him, good luck.
  16. Conservatives will vote for Boris Johnson to be the Prime Minister and then tell you having a strong work ethic is a prerequisite for the job.
  17. Arise, Sir Beer Korma
  18. I don't think you've quite understood me.
  19. It is a relatively short space of time in the context of British political history, but that's not the point, which was that I suspect there aren't many Leave voters who would have accepted a second referendum on Brexit within 15 years.
  20. Given we had a referendum on changing the electoral system in 2011 which was lost, it would be most interesting to see certain groups calling for a change to PR after this election, confirming that actually it is OK to vote on something again within a short period of time.
  21. I've already voted
  22. Genuinely have no idea what this is supposed to mean? 35k a year doesn't put you in the 40% tax bracket, not even close.
