  1. No, my heart would love for him to go again, my head says if we go down we need to have our future striker sorted and play them week in week out, the last thing we need is Vardy keeping out a player who needs a good run in the Championship, getting promoted and our new striker isn't then ready for the step up because Vardy cut his game time in half.
  2. So either we are making a massive error, and bringing in new coaching staff for a manager we will sack within a fortnight, or we are making a massive error by backing the manager who has given up on the idea of us actually scoring a goal and seems to have accepted relegation. I mean, new coaches may bring a new sense of enthusiasm if the players like them, but that's just wishful thinking. This should have happened the moment Ruud came in, now it seems too late to actually fix anything, or it's part of a longer term strategy to go down with Ruud and NOT come back up.
  3. I remember this one which was a few weeks before it was confirmed, just look at that unity.
  4. And that's precisely why so many are protesting amongst so many other issues. The foundation built by Vichai and Nige has been destroyed.
  5. I agree, complete mismanagement from the board, however, I just can't understand why nobody else has come in, I very much doubt the board would have blocked Jap Staam coming in on a short-term contract to try to help us. It doesn't seem like Ruud cares about it, because either he accepted he couldn't bring anyone in when he took the job, or he was lied to and would have a big upper hand in any compensation should he leave, especially if they also lied about transfers. I can't think of any situation where the club would say no to bringing in someone like Stam for a few months on an emergency short deal, I think it's Ruud who doesn't want the help at this point.
  6. Absolue Priority: Danny Rohl Urs Fischer (unlikely) Claude Puel (I'm genuinely serious, he's a builder and has an eye for players) Gamble: Marti Cifuentes (currently at QPR and has been slowly turning them around) Kasper Hjulmand Gary O'Neil (not sold on him, but I thought his wolves team looked quite unlucky through their bad run) Henrik Rydstrom Abel Ferreira
  7. I keep saying this, and I will continue to. It's all good and well saying "No manager would keep this lot up" (this of course is probably nonsense) Even if we park this issue and accept relegation, please, someone tell me, what is Ruud doing right now to prove he is going to rebuild us in the championship and bring us up at the first time of asking? Systems take time, and foundations take time to build, but there HAS to be something that shows it can work long-term, under Pearson we were on a torrid run most of the season, but we were playing well for the majority of games and were losing to 1 mistake, we were actually in games and should have been nicking points, under Ruud we are down and out the moment we conceded, and we are getting absolutely hammered, we have absolutely zero defensive structure or grit, zero attacking awareness or movement. What is Ruud doing that is justifying so much defence for him? The team is awful, he's inherited 5+ years of mistakes, but what is HE doing that is actually showing any promise? What is the evidence that he can drop down to the championship and rebuild us on a VERY tight budget to build a team and foundation of play that can be promoted, and stay up?
  8. Would take Puel right now. Would rip your arm off for him. Give him a rebuild.
  9. I'm done tonight, these club, these players, this manager can all do one. Every single one of them can go.
  10. Right now it will feel like an upgrade
  11. He should have gone in the summer. He's done at this level sadly.
  12. He's gone tonight. There's no way Ruud survives tonight.
  13. Again though, I just don't think that flies under a proper manager, or if it did, the boss would be throwing them in the reserves, we can't get any worse playing some younger players, Thomas is average but he tries, Mavididi has had a rough spell but every time he comes on we look more lively, same with Buonanotte can't get a sniff, Alves on loan, even Nelson would be worth throwing in right now if he wasn't at Oxford. It's Ruud who keeps picking these charlatans, even if the picking is slim.
  14. Ruud is gone tonight. Top is an idiot, even he isn't this stupid.
  15. I know this team are bad, but I truly believe this is being coached into them at this point. Are you seriously telling me if you gave this squad to Moyesy we would be playing this badly? not a chance in hell.
  16. Played 13 Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 10 Goals scored 9 Goals conceded 31 Points per match 0.5
  17. I can believe every single word of this sadly.
  18. Loved you as a player Ruud, one of my idol players, but you aren't a manager at this level.
  19. I mean Kristiansen is stood square on to mbeumo there, he's completely flat footed the moment mbuemo shifts his weight, you learn not to do this this at under 10 level.
  20. Honestly, just get Ruud gone. This cannot continue, Big Sam would be an upgrade on this football. I'm all for building a foundation and sometimes that means a rough period as we bed the system in, but you atleast expect it to show glimses, all Ruuds system has done is make our defensive issues even worse, and completely remove any attacking threat. Getting big sam in would be a huge upgrade right now. Jesse Marsch would be an upgrade. Danny Rohl in.
  21. I might just not bother with this one, genuinely lost all enthusiasm. I find more joy talking about how we can address the issues rather than having to watch them.
  22. If we have £5m to spend, I'd be offering a deal for Chancel Mbemba too, absolutely miles clear of our current level and was brilliant for Marseille before they fell out over a medical when he came back from international duty (the case went to tribunal and ruled in Chancels favour) so he probably won't make another appearance for them. For him it's a chance to get back into first team football and then sign for a potentially premier league club if we go back up (should we go down this season) and for Marseille it gets his wages off the books.
  23. I'd take that loan 100% but usually they are loaned back into the Serie A
  24. Doubt we could get him, but Nicolo Bertola is out of contract in the summer, 21 year old CB for Spezia Calcio in Serie B. I'd imagine he will be stepping up to Serie A next season but we should be in for these sorts of players on free transfers, has decent potential in my eyes. He's 192cm (6 ft 4) but looks surprisingly nimble and his a good tackle on him.
