You can defend him all you like but he’s had more than enough chances, more than enough benefit of the doubt and the one consistency at the club is that we keep getting simple decisions wrong. with FFP becoming such a huge problem for clubs, the trickle effect is that loan deal fees are going to increase. chelsea asking for 5m (looks like they’ve accepted 4m) is horrifying. It’s a pure loss from a club and something that should really dent any plans to deal with clubs in the premier league. I’m very surprised a club has been willing to pay 4m for half a season as well as his wages. Fulham are safe. There’s no option to buy. I’m scratching my head trying to work this one out

Well in fairness it’s not that the league is poorer, it’s more that the 3 coming down have so much stronger squads than is usually the case. But the gap is larger than ever, which is what i mean by poorer.

This league is so poor that i genuinely think it’s possible for leeds, southampton or oursleves to win every game left… and it will likely come down to our games against each other and which of us have bad days against others. Ordinarily i’d follow the stats, but I think the gap in quality isn’t usually this large. One poor spell from us and we could be caught. Do i think it will happen? No. But do i think it could happen… yes of course. We wouldn’t love football if it was as predictable as some people on here make it sound
