He’s so versatile. For FGR and rodgers he lined up as a wb. (albeit fleetingly), but interestingly at wimbledon where he performed well it was centrally more in a #10 role. So it shows that he’s more than comfortable on the inside and his run out at 8 showed that. This type of position is ideal for him as he will get on the end of a lot with the way we play and he’s already a very composed finisher. The only question is whether or not we have enough steel in the middle against a tougher opponent
-
exactly this! we need to be working on cannon for the future. If he doesn’t get the minutes this season it will be hard to bed him in, when in the prem
-
Very happy with either cannon or daka. We play one, if they aren’t having a good day we bring on the other… then when we are winning comfortably we bring on vardy so we can all reminisce about the good old days and enjoy our final moments with him. What is not to like

In hindsight… probably worth saving on the sensi wages
-
that’s for storming the pitch
-
there is absolutely nothing naff about matty james… except his knees
-
Bristol are half decent, expect them to give leeds a good game tonight
-
No way, on the same way as Jo Nouts Her mum brenda is likely to send a message
-
fully deserves to… and there’s only one way to prove that you can handle a cold, wet game in stoke

Ridiculous to see how defensive of him certain people are. Quite obviously an agenda attached to that sentiment. You can defend him all you like but he’s had more than enough chances, more than enough benefit of the doubt and the one consistency at the club is that we keep getting simple decisions wrong. From the outside it doesn’t look like any lessons have been learnt. There’s not been a thorough change in how we operate. This transfer saga was unnecessarily dragged out until deadline day and its something that could have been hashed out any other day if people did their jobs correctly. bottom line, we’ve been unprofessional and if it’s true that we’ve essentially wasted our negotiation time because of tops wedding ….. well that just says it all Inter wanted to sell the player. We wanted the player. It didn’t need to be a last second scramble and with our history with silva, harrison and even cannon given the jury surprise… you’d think we’d have learned.
-
wonder if we get sensei for free now, or the damage has been done
-
you’re kidding right? Any bottom half prem side changing managers would snap our hands off for him
-
don’t think he will get that far. The comments earlier in the week was him setting up his exit. He already knows the issues and he’ll be gone as soon as an opportunity arises
-
surely he’s behind, mavi, fatawu, mcateer, albrighton and yunus… we can definitely cope without him
-
i’m surprised wanya hasn’t gone out on loan. He’s not going to be needed in the first team and desperately needs some development. Get him to a league 1 side playing good football for 6 months. Surely he’s done enough to attract suitors?
-
I personally rate souttar over coady as well

Who do you want for next season in the PL

with FFP becoming such a huge problem for clubs, the trickle effect is that loan deal fees are going to increase. chelsea asking for 5m (looks like they’ve accepted 4m) is horrifying. It’s a pure loss from a club and something that should really dent any plans to deal with clubs in the premier league. I’m very surprised a club has been willing to pay 4m for half a season as well as his wages. Fulham are safe. There’s no option to buy. I’m scratching my head trying to work this one out -
I think it’s possible to achieve it, not that I think anyone will do it My point is largely that we shouldnt count our chickens just yet.
-
Well in fairness it’s not that the league is poorer, it’s more that the 3 coming down have so much stronger squads than is usually the case. But the gap is larger than ever, which is what i mean by poorer.
-
This league is so poor that i genuinely think it’s possible for leeds, southampton or oursleves to win every game left… and it will likely come down to our games against each other and which of us have bad days against others. Ordinarily i’d follow the stats, but I think the gap in quality isn’t usually this large. One poor spell from us and we could be caught. Do i think it will happen? No. But do i think it could happen… yes of course. We wouldn’t love football if it was as predictable as some people on here make it sound
-
it’s so leicester to rush a medical on the most injury prone player you could find
-
wow 1-0 down to genk but turned it around with goals in 80 and 90 mins. hope they can hold on for a huge win!
-
they will always concede goals. It just doesn’t seem like a sensible move in the slightest and will damage his value, as it did to thomas
