We should be the first club to understand how you easily you can squander a big points gap. Lose at Leeds and the gap could be down to 5 points to 2nd and 6 to 3rd and 4th. That is by all accounts game on. (if results go against us tonight) Weve been excellent and rightly have been celebrating that but this has been a freak league and there are 4 teams that fall in the top 10 of points scored at this stage in the last 10 years. Theres genuinely no more room for a wobble, as the other teams may not drop many points.

completely agree with @UniFox21 I think perfect enzo ball would very much have a LB with the ability to get down the line and deliver the ball. The whole system is about creating an overload of players when in possession. If Justin was a little more comfortable going forwards on the left, I think we’d see it more. I know we’re not man city but when you look at how Ake plays, very often he’s in dangerous positions from that role. If enzo is fine with the cbs going on marauding runs down the middle he certainly wouldn’t be against the left sided defender creating an overload on the left. I’ve been playing midnight sunday and absolutely love it. If you love the old turn based style of Final fantasy 7 or pokémon and like marvel, you’ll love it. I wasn’t sure when i heard it was card based but all that does is randomize attacks and add to the strategy. Seriously wicked game

our best taker is verstergarde, but i think kdh and stephy always demand them. I get the feeling that like our pens, we don’t have a designated person. if they had 10 each I’m certain vesty would score the most. All i know, is that I never want to see JJ near one again.

You’re right, it absolutely happens sometimes with good management and behind the scenes work. But resource wise, it means they have to truly work a bit of magic to achieve it (they might). Both Leeds and southampton will look no different to the other lower league prem sides without doing much. one or 2 good or bad additions will likely determine their season one way or the other.

I know i’m not supposed to, but i’m genuinely routing for ipswich. I just don’t see them as a real threat to us, if there’s any chance they can sneak that second spot I want them to do it. With next year in mind, the potential of cov/west b/hull and ipswich joining us infinitely makes our task of staying up easier/

It’s more likely that Ipswich don’t make the play-offs than us drop out of top 2. Which is a wild thing to think after their start to the season.

well amortization is the theory. They spread it over 7 years so they see it as 14m a season to have him, then sell him for a sizeable fee. If they actually keep the players for the 7 years it will be alright but in 90% of the cases they won’t

Leeds might be absolutely ruined if they stay down, more so than either us or southampton and that would be a mess in its own. The contract situation of their sellable assets makes it impossible to sell. They have those loan clauses, so in theory they can all keep going on loan until their contracts end if leeds are in the championship. They are fully relying on going up and being able to sell those players who are currently out on loan

i would personally still be interested in archer. If we lose vardy and iheanacho i’m confident enough in daka and a project with cannon but we’d need one more and the fact archer offers an option on the left makes him a great fit. I find it very american that the best players in a sport is always the greatest of all time (or will be). They just have to be part of that. You just tend to see it constantly about whoever is currently top of the game, whether that’s basketball, football or whatever. People already claiming Mahomes is better than Brady. The boys still got a shed load to achieve before that should even be a conversation

As good as we we were, it never had the magic feeling that the title winning year had. I’m not sure why but I just always had the feeling the bubble would burst. I didn’t have that in 2016, or not at least in the same way. There was never a game where I suddenly thought, we actually are going to do something here.
