  1. Well at least if(when) monga leaves us, we might have a replacement ready made
  2. Any idea where he played today? Was he used out wide or centrally?
  3. Wonder what the game plan would be. Scores 10 before Jan. Gets a loan to league 1. Scores plenty again. Sold in the summer to the championship ?
  4. I said it in the oh leuven thread, he’s way above this level. He’s not a kid learning the trade. Should be the best player in that division. Nobody else from league 2 could look competent in the top Belgian league
  5. Don’t disagree but there’s only so much you can do when huge clubs are in their ear. We’ve got history of academy players excelling here, we’ve shown that opportunities are there if you’re good enough. Not an area I personally think the club are failing at. it’s unrealistic to throw in every youth prospect. But we’ve clearly been attempting something with these guys for the last year and they are kids, not like these are 20 year olds, you have to measure their involvement with what’s best for their development
  6. Possibly got less minutes because of the way those contract conversations were going. Reality is we are going to lose a few of these prospects and it’s out of our hands
  7. Bit harsh. He’s had a career at burnley on a modest wage but has the opportunity to make star player money. bit different to someone who has been on a Leicester wage or top level wage their whole career. id take the opportunity to create generational wealth over just wealth for myself
  8. He’s got far more composure and awareness around the box than daka, he might not have shown it last season but historically you can see that. Whether or not his legs have simply gone, I don’t know
  9. I do genuinely have a suspicion he would be a better striker than Daka and ayew. It’s a low bar but that’s where we are
  10. I think it’s hard not to get carried away with him but one thing that has to be remembered is that his very obviously skill is going to make him stand out more on the eye. we have no idea how he will react to pressure, or when he goes through a bad patch and all the other things that comes with being a footballer. If his attitude is right and he can handle the he pressure the he really could be the best thing to ever come out of our academy, by some distance as well
  11. Same way we accepted if Sheffield u went up they would almost certainly have signed souttar
  12. Looks like the promo to an early 2000’s comedy on channel 4
  13. Still looks like he doesn’t know what to do when the crowd sings his name. It’s very humbling watching him
  14. I wonder if Trey nyoni regrets leaving? Id rather be doing what monga is doing than him. Id bet monga ends up making more money by the end of his career as well. Nyoni will waste 4/5 years before being shipped out for a profit to someone like us ironically
  15. Id hate to be a scout because how on earth is he being blamed for a players suddenly getting the hump (winks). When he was signed, he was rightly heralded as the perfect player for Enzo’s system. In fact, he was the only player that if absent, we couldn’t function properly without. How can the scout get blamed for how he reacts with future managers and changing circumstances
  16. I wonder if a hair transplant clinic might be interested in him as a research project?
  17. Well is mckenna responsible for transfers? Because he might not have much of a say in the individuals targeted
  18. Good windows are hard to see from outside. We can be happy with what that does on the field but so much is down to what has been agreed. on the surface it looks like good work. But I don’t think lessons have been learned. The fact we reportedly offered brownhill 100k (if we are promoted) is beyond reckless. If brownhill is a 100k player, then I’m worth 10k… where’s my money Jonny?!?
  19. Surprising considering the disdain Brendan showed to him when he was here
  20. I would love to assume these were the best loans for each individual and they just happen to be at the same club. let’s be honest, with how busy yesterday was for us, I think we probably were already in conversation about one and shoe horned the other in to get something done. hopefully they will be both be a big part of the teams though. Both should excel so it’s exciting
  21. Surely he’s far too good for league 2. Pre-injury he looked very decent for OHL, the Belgian top flight is a mix of championship standard teams and a couple of relegation battling prem sides. He should be a goal a game at that level
  22. if we can get him to a saudi club id happily take nacho home as a 3rd choice
  23. has hamer actually stayed with the blades? that’s insane
  24. what i like most about these signings, is that let’s say we get an injury to fatawu. Ramsey can play comfortably on either wing and JJ can play as a #10. between them we have added a great deal of depth whilst reducing the squad size. im not sure on the best 11 until we see everyone in action but on paper i still have concerns with soumare being the defensive minded cm. I may actually lean skipp … although best probably would have winks
  25. As it saves @moore_94 a bit of work, why not just send everyone to Newport next year?
