I do think the damage has been done already. we all wanted him to flourish but he just isn’t qualified and isn’t taking accountability. In many ways if he was terrible but was actively working on improving things, I think we’d be willing to support him through it but we simply haven’t had that learning journey. he doesn’t care to repair the connection with the fans either and that’s the worst thing about it all. It’s a feeling that we are meaningless to him and maybe even the club is, it’s just a shiny toy he can show off to his friends to make him look cool.

Wouldn’t be a terrible move actually. I think there’s a chance he resurrects his career somewhere. 25 is no age to write off a player and I think as long as he’s not coming in as the main man, then it’s one that’s worth a gamble for someone. hypothetically, if we have a solid season and he comes in and does what he has for Sheffield around 10 goal contributions. Theres a good chance you sell him for 5m back to the championship. He’s not hit his prime yet , a curious one for sure

I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see us resign big Dan on a free. Genuinely could see it in our current state

You’re not helping yourself mate. The intel that the club are considering… letting the person in a job do a job, is not really intel. He’d always have to be an option You 100% wrote that to make people think BBM was going to be considered

So the talent is there at least.

I can never seem to add photos straight from google or my camera roll, even if I compress or upload a small version, it always seems to exceed the 1.3 limit. How are people posting haha takes me far too long to find something that will work

compared to nobody getting on the end of anything for the last 2 seasons I’d 100% prefer chances that might go in, to every set piece being easily cleared

Don’t think we’d get him but we’d definitely love him. Makes everyone graft, plays attacking football, passionate. His first season in the prem he did alright with Leeds and the type of signings made under him were encouraging. he also made so many awful players look good. bamford being a prime example.

I’m surprised Edward’s didn’t get the job here, after the excellent job he did confirming Lutons place in league 1 for next season.

I think what’s alarming is that our transfers style has been shifting so much. we’ve gone from looking for undervalued gems- to top level proven players and now we’ve shifted to our bargain basement phase, who’s free or on the last year of their contract. It doesn’t make sense to me that Greenward could genuinely have any stats that have attracted us

I genuinely think wilder would be the thing to finally tip our club over the edge.

we do have plenty of debt as well. but in actuality it’s easier to sell a business with debts in many ways as the investor just pays the 100m and handles the debt how they see fit. The pool of candidates willing to pay 500m in this example would be far smaller. so in Leicester speak, we’re trying to flog vestergarde for 20 mill

Was he a former player of yours? The name really rings a bell for some reason

LCFC “Happy Birthday Jon Rudkin 🎉🥳”
-
He does… but the people reliable for running us are also highly incompetent. his switch of role at KP is to exactly the role he’s supposed to do at the club. Let’s hope for them that they haven’t found Svidatjohn Nueataphonrudkin
-
You say this like we do anything the conventional way? We could do absolutely anything from here. you know as much as me and I know roughly the same as Rudkin
-
Yeah but he’s at stoke now, we won’t be paying for him
-
I think that’s a valid worry and I understand when people prefer another direction. I just have a feeling that if it were to happen, it would be for the best and he would go down as a bit of a cult hero here.

I think Dyche is smarter than people think and from everything in his history he’s never played a winger like Ayew before. Certainly prefers players like albrighton though at least on one side. In the old Burnley championship days you’d have arfield on one side and the more attacking boyd on the other. If I were to guess, you’d end up with Ayew up front as the defensive forward and a more attacking partner. He’s always had an Ings, gray or wood as a goal scorer alongside someone like vokes or Rodrigues (the ayew type) so I would not be surprised if you ended up with mcateer locking down one side while fatawu took the other. But at the same time, both mavididi and fatawu actually work hard so no reason Dyche would oppose them, we’d see them cross more which I was think would suit them both. I think skipp or wilf would be an anchor and you’d have room for a more creative cm, (the sander berge type) maybe Ricardo. I think it could work. And I think oddly, we do have the right players for it at present because the only casualty I can see is winks and he’s busy sleeping a home anyway (and the shitty defenders we don’t want)

If we’re all honest with ourselves. if Pearson had more of a history in the game before he came to us, or we just had looked at his approach, I strongly believe we’d have categorized him the same way as dyche. There’s an awful lot of similarities between the 2 of them. We all know we need a Pearson type personality to turn things around from a club culture standpoint but we still object to the most obvious option to achieve that. I get it, I get excited by an attacking unknown manager as much as anyone and if we were mid table premf I’d demand that, but we need someone to just do the early grind for us and set up something sustainable we can build from.
-
One thing I noticed with Dyche, is that despite his football being bland he does actually always try to sign flare players. they just often go unnoticed. For example bringing Max Cornet to Burnley or even more recently he did sign Alcarez for Everton. He wants to be solid as a foundation but if he can add in these exciting players I don’t think he’s against it. On paper, if he sorted out our defence and made us hard to beat but allowed the front 4 to be creative, it could be really good for us. And whilst I see the sentiment about it not being a good long term option, you’d struggle to find a better candidate for the relegation battle the next year. Maybe like Bournemouth, we have to go up and survive the ugly way before moving onto our ireaola
-
As unpopular as it is. I’m starting to lean towards dyche. I genuinely think he’s the safest bet available and quite simply has the best resume of anyone in the division. I don’t like his football but at this critical juncture, I think I’d rather we go down the sensible route. His burnley side in the championship actually played enjoyable football from what I remember. we’d be looking to be more like Scott Parker’s burnley than Leeds
-
Let’s be honest, the majority of football obsessed people in this country still no absolutely nothing. You only have to take a quick glance at some of the opinions on here. I believe there’s always a need for a competent director of football. A yes man, to someone that wants us to be like the best team on the telly is simply doomed for failure.

Very much available if we get our act together. Wolfsburg have hired someone else
