Southgate is really interesting. He did a sensational job with England, especially in some of the earlier campaigns when the squad was a bit ropey. He gets the best out of people and he managed to bring a calmness to cup competitions that we’ve not had in my lifetime. What I did like, was that he’d have a vision and stick to it, whether it was popular or not and more often then not he got it right or at the least got the results. for a championship club it’s really hard to turn your nose up to someone coming off the back of the runs he had with that England side.

All comes down to what they hit us with but the leagues rules are clearly all over the place and should they hammer us with points id be very surprised if we didn’t consider legal proceedings. Quite simply all of our financial issues stem from man city’s breach, they cheated and took a champions league place from us…. Twice. And the league has sat on it twiddling thumbs because they are scared of the outcome. That in itself has snowballed our downfall and cost the club hundreds of millions of £. And that’s without considering what we may or may not have achieved with that income and pull. Lots of clubs have arguments in that regard but none as strong as us. There are so many dodgy deals going on, I feel like a lawyer would be licking his lips if a club chose to fight the league on some of it. I can’t say I know the ins and outs of it well enough but its utterly astounding that the clubs supported selling assets yourself and we’ve not done it

I think we are lumbered with this squad and won’t be able to make many moves at all. I honestly can’t even see hermansen or bilal leaving at this stage unless we take a really low ball offer. This is all a money laundering operation to cover this and it’s obviously going to cook the books for forest in the process. He’s not going to be anywhere near evanilson yet. he hit very good numbers in the French second division, which is the equivalent of the better league 1 teams, standard wise. If he smashes pre-season they’ll give him some opportunities but definitely won’t have decided his future just yet. if he smashed in the championship with us, they’d either be able to sell him for a fortune or he’s ready for them. But with a top class striker already in place, I just can’t see them wasting his development by sitting on the bench for a year.

Because they have evanilson and are rumoured to be signing another striker. They can afford to let him figure out English football before throwing him in
