  1. He’s a Leicester fan isn’t he? We should offer them a loan with an option to buy for £100m, then next summer offer them £1m
  2. genuinely not sure he’ll get another club
  3. Scary to think that if we could have mustered up 4 wins and a draw spurs could have gone down. That’s really not much at all looking at it now. Not got a clue where the points come from mind. could have maybe beat spurs opening day, palace and Everton should have been wins. The door was wider than we thought
  4. I’d offer Bournemouth a loan for Eli jounior kroupi. He just finished top scorer of ligue 2 with 22 goals and 2 assists in 30 games. He’s not starting over evanilson and they will want him to get English experience. He could be frightingly good in a few years
  5. Chelsea need their yearly quota of Leicester and Brighton players so surely Mads and Joao Pedro end up there
  6. Daka was slightly better than ward, justin, faes, kristiansen and skipp imo. That’s a frightening statement to be able to make
  7. I didn’t watch much but they walked the league. I hope you’re right because it would be typical that we had a good manager right under our noses for years and didn’t notice them
  8. It’s a shame Joe wormleighton is leaving, he looked really good a few years back
  9. The only reservation I have is that he supposedly wants more control of the operations. The Sheffield Wednesday fans think that his signings were all duds and that his competence in building wasn’t there… but he did an excellent job with what was already in place for them. He rubbed them the wrong way with his comments about players not being good enough when he brought half of them to the club. Reminds me of us letting Brendan control things. Good coach but better to just stick to management
  10. Sounds like just what we need. Someone who is asking tough questions of ownership to ensure he’s not in a similar situation to the one at his current club. I’m not convinced he’s the answer either but certainly an exciting option. It feels like corberan all over again. It’s just frustrating that we won’t pay a few million for a manager but will then spend triple or more on someone like coady. The manager is and will always be the most important part of a team so do whatever you need to, to get the best option possible
  11. I have a feeling Ipswich might struggle more than people expect. It’s really hard to turn around momentum for a manager. That habit of losing is hard to shake off it will be a real test for him to get them back to where they were. Our team is complete trash and he couldn’t even get a draw. I just don’t think it will be the walk in the park people think for them
  12. If we were in the premier league, cooper is still a far better choice than Martin and that tells you everything you need to know I want to build something sustainable. You can’t do that with someone who won’t have the tools for the next step. Rohl might have those tools, we won’t know until he gets up. But we have all the evidence you could need that Martin’s methods don’t work at the top level with the standard of players we’d have.
  13. That’s a good thing. it’s hard as a fan because we all want the info as soon as possible but definitely an advantage to the club to keep things quiet. There has been a tendency recently that when the more reliable journalists put something out, that it’s accurate and that’s got to be down to the club putting it out there themselves.
  14. There’s a reason for that. When the public don’t know quickly, it’s blamed on ethnicity, religion or country of origin and the worst type of racism comes out. Like wise, when it is a minority group you get the same actions. it’s politically sensitive and should be handled as such. It’s not an anti white agenda, just common sense to public reaction which when high on emotion brings out the worst
  15. Probably not the quote to ask this, I promise it’s unrelated and a general question. But, do you still get bits and bobs of info from the club? Or is that all long gone? Desperately hoping someone gets on here soon, with some form of good news about someone leaving or at least that it’s been discussed
  16. No chance. The competition that season was woeful and we’d have been attractive to a new manager. we’d have got 25% more for Maddison and would have kept Barnes. I think that were so poorly run eventually we might have gone down but not the next season. Scraping around at the bottom of the prem is probably not as enjoyable as a championship campaign though so I’m not sure if I’d have preferred that
  17. Fair assessment tbf. He either looks class or shambles imo, something about him made me think he’s not quite good enough despite many good games for us. He’s young so maybe he improves but I just think he wasn’t quite consistent enough to be the #10 for us. The ability to carry the ball wins over plenty of people but his end product either in the pass or shooting was more off than on. If we can get good money it’s a no brainer for me. I think things ended for us this season when Ruud decided he was the number 10 and put facundo on the curb.
  18. I know he’s public enemy number 3 right now but surely he’s ideal for Martin? Id be disappointed if he left as for this type of system he’s clearly an ideal fit. Hopefully his issues stop at Ruud
  19. I don’t think boro will be anywhere near there without a sensational summer. I’d be surprised if we couldn’t make top 6. It’s understandable after a poor season but we’ve just beat Southampton and Ipswich somewhat comfortably, no matter how bad this season has been I don’t think the players are as bad as the majority think. I think people forget just how horrific the management has been this season. Martin might be a painful watch but at least the players will know their roles and what they are supposed to be doing. This season has just been headless chickens from start to finish
  20. 14/1 is great value on us at this stage. Nobody knows how the transfer market will play out. Taking all bias out of the equation, It just a well balanced risk for a squad like ours whoever is in charge
  21. This might be why they are trying to wrap up our case before announcing theirs
  22. Well we got the evidence we needed that no corners have been turned with RVN. If we’d had an excellent game there would be at least a little doubt in replacing him where you wonder if he’s started to improve things… but today was a reality check that the only reason for our slight upturn in form was an extra bit of effort to give vardy an appropriate end.
  23. I don’t think anyone’s turning their noses up because he’s not good enough, it’s because 1 he can’t take us further than being a yo-yo club and 2 the football is a terrible watch. We just want the football to be enjoyable, it’s not that much to ask. It’s what a lot of people use as a release and not being able to enjoy that anymore is pretty gutting. I’d rather get worse results but enjoy the games, 1-0 wins when we’ve only tried to score for 10% of the game is not going to ‘make’ a weekend
  24. Nahhh the chance to enjoy football again has been stripped from us again!
  25. We have stephy and fatawu, and genuinely think they would make any team a good championship team in their own. Get a half decent striker, keep Nelson and souttar and you already have the makings of a very good team at this level. I genuinely think Enzo under performed with our squad… we should have broken the points record at a canter. it won’t be easy but I don’t buy into the fact this team won’t be good enough because on paper it certainly still should go back up… a few good signings and bad eggs leaving and we battle at the top.
