I think the only way this argument can be validated is if someone has examples of who he left out. What youth player didnt get a chance that should have? Who got chances when he left, or quit the club and reached a higher level? Quite simply, if there are no examples of this, then its just good management. You play youth because they are good enough not just for the sake of it. I cant think of anyone who necessarily had a path blocked off the top of my head?

In fairness, Nixon was bang on about us last summer. Adamant it was cooper. The first to say that cooper wanted prem proven players and called ayew very early. on all 3 things people cried out that he didn’t know anything. He definitely has a source. The only hope is that the article says dyche is favourite and not that it’s a done deal.

I think he’d be the first actually pragmatic manager we’ve had in my lifetime. we’ve always asked for it but we’ve never actually had a manager that picks a team or shape based on the opposition and that in itself is exciting. A manager that sees somethings not working and switches rather than being stubborn has been sorely missed at this club. When was the last time we had a manager that wouldn’t just wait until the 60th minute to make a sub ?

Would just be nice to have someone come in that the majority are happy with. We need some positivity around here. As I’ve said before, I think dyche would do very well but we’d have a whole summer of fans Debbie downing. I think after the last season we just need some optimism so this would be a good step for us. And if it ends in tears… well we got what we asked for at least

Problem is, we can’t spend because we are relying on selling to meet psr and it doesn’t seem there’s concrete interest in any of our assets. We’d be having a different summer if we’d had 2 big bids in for Bilal and mads early doors. we’re probably in a full panic because we might not get the money in we’d assumed

I’m lost with Daka, he obviously has some talent but he often looks like he’s never played ball before. A real consistency problem, ideally he gets a few goals in pre-season and builds some momentum but he’s just never far away from doing something humiliating and he’s not the sort to shake it off.

The issue is whether they actually get paid though. The cash flow is the problem and I think they banked on the rohl cash that hasn’t come in. It’s a game of chicken with their owner right now id imagine they will offer everyone a contract because they are on an embargo now.

I personally disagree on this. I certainly don’t rate Calvert Lewin particularly high but he is an actual striker and ayew is not a goal scorer. I think dcl in a team that consistently created chances would score plenty in the championship. similar to how che Adam’s was. Ayew is not and has never been a natural number 9. If dcl played a full season with mav and fatawu, he scores 20+. The problem dcl has (particularly in a rough Everton side) is that he doesn’t have the ability to create for himself. Something he wouldn’t have a problem with here. it’s all a moot point because he won’t be coming here and he’s always injured. But I just don’t agree with the comparison that’s all

You wouldn’t take him here? I’d have been delighted to bring him in for this campaign. if they sign him on a 3 year deal he’ll be gone by the time he’s ayews age 😆

Kyogo to Birmingham is unreal for them. With the momentum they have a couple of good signings and I think they will be going up. And kyogo is certainly excellent for this level and Davies knows him well

There’s always the chance dyche will just wait until the first prem team sacks their managers in a panic. he’s a pretty obvious choice if you’re scrapping to survive.

If I was vardy, I’d be going to Sheffield Wednesday. Nothing left to prove but your team is under a ban for transfer fees. Id personally think why not try to help them out. surely that’s better than a little money (compared to what he’s earnt) to play for Leeds or In the states

Couldn’t agree more! I just want a solid story to follow and turn based play. I never quite understood why they switched when the franchise was so popular. I think the issue was that the other style was also popular so they had no reason to switch back. But there’s an untapped audience who have also gone mad for this game

Football is gone when this is how decisions get made. Data is great but it completely ignores personality traits and misses out on hidden gems. It often works well for picking up players at a lower level but for the championship, it will struggle to identify anyone who can’t quite hack a stronger league but would be very good a club down the pyramid. it has to be balanced, surely.

I guess I went on their forums at the wrong time (after the bottling) because I was surprised to see that the majority of their fans think this is a bad call
