  1. Just saw a link to Josh sergeant because he is with Wasserman. Sure we can’t pay 600k for Rohl but we’ll spend 15m on a striker same article suggested Oxlade-Chamberlein was close
  2. Curious to see if that price tag will help his career or hinder it. Northampton will feel very lucky to kick him up on a free in 4 years
  3. Nah, more they want to see what they can get away with. if they can cheap out and get their favourite agents some more cash they would love to do it
  4. They are trying to get a last minute monsoon game in Asia against the HongKong Pirates
  5. Part of me thinks the club ask a journalist (or leak info) simply to sound out fan/public reaction. I wonder if they are sounding out how the majority will feel. It’s overwhelmingly obvious that if they want fans on board the easy option is Rohl.
  6. Be scared of Percy bombs, he consistently wrote about how amazing O’Neil was, they’re chums. At least we might get a few more leaks out of it
  7. I genuinely believe Top wants someone who has the prestige of having worked in the prem previously. It’s all about what names he’s heard of. Pathetic pathetic pathetic
  8. Theres no evidence ‘he can do both’ though. If we needed to grind out results to survive, he would be alright but where’s the evidence he can make a team play dominating attacking football? It’s a huge experiment. At least cooper and dyche have shown they can flip the switch when possible. O’Neil is an experiment for what we need to do, it’s lazy, cheap and just an all round bizarre decision given the options available with a little effort or ambition thoughts @The Bear?!?
  9. O’Neil is a farcical appointment but I don’t think there’s any manager in world football that would stop cunha acting like a nob!
  10. O’Neil has one thing on Andy King as a manager, he was given an opportunity. It’s as simple as that. Genuinely think Kingy would do better for us!
  11. You’re a bastard, I on the other hand took 14/1 on us winning the league. I wonder if I can cash out
  12. O’Neil had that wolves squad lower in the table than Steve coopers Leicester. A team who most fans would rank as our worst ever prem squad. Diabolical appointment
  13. The most telling thing from that, is that the fans all say he was good with another striker (ings) and not so good up top on his own. Funnily enough the same would be said about ayew and daka. we likely will play 1 up top, we need a comfortable number 9, it’s as simple as that for me
  14. Out of the ones with an ounce of possibility, the order would be: Carsley Rohl rosenior dyche wilder oneil but I’m gunna guess the board go bottom to top
  15. This day is the worst day as a Leicester fan since….. actually never mind. Par for the course at this stage
  16. I’m team chillwell, they don’t deserve a name check
  17. Nah it’s got the riccy p like, it’s happening
  18. Vardy going to rangers and hopefully toppling Brendan would be wonderful!
  19. Fair point but likely their messing around with it, lost the opportunity to get whoever the target was
  20. My guess is that we were banking on selling a player that would have meant we passed, but that didn’t materialize so we figured we’d already lost might as well fail by a little more and hope to balance for the next season
  21. He’s banned from this thread and the manager one btw. Can’t respond to anything 😆
  22. Wasn’t an issue for Ipswich and on the surface Birmingham are making far bigger moves than they were. Hard to say until you see the teams kick off but I’d be delighted if I was one of their fans
  23. This could be an all timer season in the championship. Ipswich, Southampton, Birmingham, ourselves, Norwich, Wrexham, Sheffield United, Coventry. Could make an argument for any of them to push to be champions this year. Other clubs doing some sensible business. Qpr notably. then you have established clubs that only need a few pieces to compete (west brim, boro) it’s really not a good season to have a points deduction as I think it’s going to be a very close run contest. my early prediction would be 1. Birmingham 2. Southampton 3. Ipswich 4. Sheffield U 5. Leicester (that’s if we get the last month right) 6. Coventry 7. Norwich 8. stoke 9.Qpr 10. West brom 11. Boro 12. Wrexham (don’t think they will get the recruitment right, but if they do you’d raise them) 13. Watford 14. Swansea 15. Preston 16. Bristol city 18. Portsmouth 19. Derby 20. Oxford 21. Blackburn 22. Charlton 23. Hull 24. Sheffield Wednesday
  24. I personally don’t think you can criticize wilders campaign too much for last year. They essentially hit a bad patch of form at the wrong time with the results in the image below. This also happened to Enzo, both sides bounced back but for Sheffield it wasn’t enough. And the playoffs are always a roulette. The question is more how he fits the club and I’m not sure his methods would work here. He has always carried the essence of a league 2 manager and I’m just not convinced that would work for us. it would be the same as when Holloway rocked up here, just an awful fit for the club. how can we be progressive then go for someone who’s shaped from 90s football. I just can’t see it being anything other than a disaster. hope I’d be wrong, but my gut tells me this is a terrible appointment
