Yep, blew our budget on him and he can’t even get in the team ahead of Soumare

Our midfield options are so poor - Winks, Skipp, Soumare, Ndidi, and Choudhury. 5 Championship level midfields, one of which is permanently crocked, and Choudhury is never going to make it in the PL. Its this area of the pitch which is causing all of our problems.

Can’t see where the next win or draw is coming from. 7 losses in a row in the Premier League, and we’re going through a supposed ‘easier’ run of fixtures. Our defence is woeful, our midfield is softer than wet bog roll, and we can’t score against bottom half teams at home. There is no philosophy of play or recruitment, no strategy for survival. No prospect of new signings to change fortunes, and an inexperienced manager that hasn’t been given the tools to succeed. Teams are routinely beating us 2 or 3 nil without having to get out of first gear. It’s as bad as it has been for the last 20 years.

This window really shows what a shambles the club is behind the scenes. 2-3 signings in the right positions could save our season and help us maintain PL status, but with a little over a week to go we’ve signed a backup right back.

You have to make your own luck. We don’t put the opposition under enough pressure to force them into mistakes.

You can’t blame Ruud for the subs. Our squad is so honking we have literally nobody above League 1 level to bring on.

The causal jog is his signature move. I cannot understand those who say he’s our best player because of the odd run forward. Time after time you just see him jogging casually around rather than closing the player down, and it’s criminal in midfield. He is the reason we are so porous. His causal jog has been on display since his first match 3 seasons ago, and it’s criminal that our squad building has meant he has somehow become a first choice starter when we loaned him out as crap in the Championship.

To be fair, we have bought this entirely on ourselves. 3 seasons ago we were competing for Champions Leagues positions. Chronic mismanagement of the club since then will instead see us locked out of the Premier League for the next decade. It will take a new owner, new board, and someone like Pearson to come in the knows how to build a squad for the Championship.

There is literally nobody else to play there. Skipp or Choudhury…

We’ll play some neat and tidy possession football in the first half, a few missed chances but never really making their goalkeeper work, and we’ll limit them to 2 or 3 chances forcing good saves from Stozlazck. Second half they’ll score 2 in the first twenty minutes, and then round it off on 80 mins with their third. Optimistically, we’ll get a consolation goal from Ayew in stoppage time. Leicester 1 - 3 Fulham Ruud to say ‘we need to be better in the important moments’ in his post match interview.

There must be a ‘no early termination’ clause otherwise why are we keeping him here? Surely the pecking order goes - Vardy, Daka, Ayew, Edouard, Cannon (recall). No chance he is getting even on the bench so why is he still here?

I’d stick Daka up top alongside Vardy. Ruud seems intent on just rolling out the same 4-2-3-1 formation with the odd personnel change behind Vardy, and hoping for ‘improvement in the important moments’. It just ain’t working. We don’t have the players to change the team, so we need to change the shape. No doubt we will see the Soumare/Winks midfield again, which for 6 games now has proven its not working. We didn’t think Soumare was good enough for the Championship, yet he seems Ruud’s first name on the sheet and has coincided with our worst run of the season.

‘a good few years’ We won the fricking Premier League. Sure, there was a couple of initial missteps but we won the Premier League. I agree everything since the tragedy, overseen by Top, has undone all of the good work to build a successful model

We’ll sell Cannon, and then spend next season wondering why we don’t still have him as he scores 25 for a rival Championship team and we scrabble around with Daka, DCR, and Macateer.

I don’t think the new chap, Woyo, would have made a blind bit of difference today.

Ricardo, Fatawu, Mads, Ndidi. If these four came back and hit the ground running in Feb we would have a chance. Unfortunately that ain’t happening.

Don’t think he will fancy another season in the Championship. This will be our last season with him. Sad way to end, I would love his story to finish with him keeping us up.

Yep, 100%. WE were 10-2 in shots on target in the first half, and dominated possession. Not much more Ruud can do. Our squad simply isn’t good enough, and this transfer window is our last chance to make up for it and we’ve pissed half of it away. The behind the scenes setup has gone, we’re so inept. £25m for Skipp who can’t get a game. Playing Soumare every match, who wasn’t good enough for the Championship. Relying on a 38 year old striker in the Premier League. Fielding Danny Ward for 5 matches. Giving a wage to players like DCR who can’t get near the team. Eduoard loan not terminated when he’s not even making the bench. No route for youth players. Ruud literally doesn’t have any options. Until Rudkin is gone and Top sells up, we’re only going in one direction.

We should have had signings lined up for 1st Jan. Its 15th and we’ve signed a squad fullback, and even that we were to slow to get him in the lineup today

Top out. We’re done for. We’re 100% getting relegated and the club is rudderless. We’ll be a long time down and it will be another 20-30 years until we see the level of success we’ve had over the last decade again.

Tragically, the man whole built the success is no longer with us. His son inherited the club and other than some residual elements which have now run out, has undone everything his father built.
