I think Soumare is my most hated city player for some time. The way he just jogs around not getting involved. He might do the odd forward break every three games, but he is so laid back and casual and never closes anyone down in midfield. It’s his fault our defence is so bad as he offers zero cover. Watch him next time they replay the QPR goal, jogging 3m in front of the guy taking the shot rather than closing him down.

Same old story. Played some neat possession football in places but never really laid a glove on Villa or looked like scoring. Villa won without really ever getting out of first gear. This squad isn’t good enough for this division, we need multiple new first team players to come straight away and hit the ground running to have even a hope. 5 losses in a row.

Have to say it’s been a poor first half of the season. We look like a club without any kind of plan. We lurch from manager to manager without any consistent underlying tactical philosophy, we sign scattergun players that can’t get into the team, and are resorting to playing players that were loaned out last season as not good enough for the Championship. Performances are improving under Ruud, kind of. We look more organised but the last 4 matches has still seen 12 goals conceded and only 1 scored. We need major strengthening in January and no more cockup signings. Im not overly hopeful given the way the club is currently being run.
