Have to say I agree with most of this. Cocaine use in general is massive now, go to any large event and you’ll see somebig groups of 20 somethings blatantly on it. My take is that with the people in power seemingly getting away with what they want (party gate, cocaine in Westminster etc), faith in police/authorities falling, being cooped up for a long time and a squeeze in the cost of living is a cocktail for people to think **** it and do what they want. I work in schools and have to say it seems (I have no data to back this up) that antisocial and violent behaviour is in on the up. So it seems to me like more of a reflection on society as a whole than just football.
