The Hearts statement was a joke. I wanted them to win the league and was gutted with the way it played out on Saturday but Hearts have embarrassed themselves. As much as it was a disgrace with the penalty at Motherwell and what have you, Hearts lost their heads and have been awful losers. Martin O'Neill has to back his own club and fans. If there is proof that Celtic fans have abused or assaulted Hearts players then that is abhorrent but other than classless individuals looking to laugh and point at Hearts players, it really doesn't look like that happened. Ultimately, Hearts had more than enough opportunities to win the league. They opened the door for Celtic and were annoyed that they walked right through it.

Spurs' only saving grace is that they're ahead. The killer for West Ham was being battered by Brentford and then watching Spurs beat Villa away. To me that felt like the day we got spanked by Fulham in 2023 and then had to watch Everton get a really great win away at Brighton. You don't want to be the team chasing on the last day.

Nor me. I don't think either West Ham or Spurs will pick up another point.

Spurs do have two genuinely tough games. They've got a shocking history at Stamford Bridge and Everton are a good side away (only Arsenal and Man City have picked up more points) whilst Spurs are an awful team at home (nobody has picked up fewer home points). I agree it's unlikely that West Ham stay up but unless Spurs pick something up on tomorrow I think they're still bang in trouble.

Can someone explain these figures? Have we only opened up 19k seats? with only 5.3k of those being sold?

They didn't manage to score twice as it was though. They scored one more goal in that second half. Meaning if we'd scored the penalty we would have won that game.

How does SCR work for us in comparison to PSR?

Again, I disagree. I don't think it's a case of suddenly finding backbone, more that we had momentum. We beat Wolves, drew at Elland Road and could then have been 3-1 up against Everton at home. I don't think we get relegated from that position. I think not beating Everton knocked us for 6 and gave Everton massive confidence and we saw that by Everton hammering Brighton after we got dicked by Fulham a few days later. Momentum is massive and we would have had it if we went in 3-1 up at half time against Everton. That penalty took all the momentum away from us and handed it on a little satin pillow to Sean Dyche and he ran with it. Winning that game would have put us 15th and 4 points clear of Everton. Plus Everton would have been on a run of 3 points from a possible 21. They were bang out of form and going down.

Couldn't disagree more! Going in at half time 3-1 up would have knocked the stuffing out of Everton. The ground was buzzing when we went 2-1 up. It would have released massive pressure and I'm sure that we'd have won that game. The save gave them impetus and they came out for the second half like a different team. The whole game swung on that moment. With how things transpired after. We'd have gone into the last game of the season knowing we only needed a point to stay up.
