  1. Have to love test cricket. Morning session was completely and utterly England's yet India have roared back into it and will probably go into their innings only being a few behind. 92-0 to 215-7 (effectively 8) has been a really rubbish afternoon for us. Too many have gone cheaply.
  2. I've gone on to like Harry Kane a lot since he left England. Possibly the best English footballer since Rooney and he backs it up constantly. Can't help but have begrudging respect for a player like that. Always rated how he puts England first too.
  3. Just an all round pathetic signing from day 1 really. Conned us all into thinking his motor mouth would sort this team of misfits out when all he's ever done is try to be everyone's mate. He hasn't called anything out since he's been here and people thought he should have been given the captaincy. Someone could pinch his wife's arse and he'd be fine with it. Delighted we've managed to get money for him. The likes of BDCR, Soumare, Vestergaard and Winks to follow him out the door next
  4. Someone explained to me in the past that the actual clock is a bit behind the TV clock and that there are still a couple of seconds left on the actual clock by the time the TV has run out. Why that's a thing I don't know but yeah. What I would say is that reviews should be for howlers and the timer should reflect that by being shorter IMO. The keeper and bowler should be able to make a decision pretty much immediately. If they can't then it isn't a howler from the ump. I don't think you should get long to make a review.
  5. Root gone! Big wicket. India have done well to claw their way back into the match. Feel like England have just lost their heads a bit.
  6. He's had a really patchy series. He's had two great knocks but otherwise he's looked ropey IMO. On some really easy pitches too. Would like to see him knuckle down here and make a good score. Doesn't have to be the flashiest because we've got all the time in the world left in this game. It's important for him to be at the crease in a couple of hours or so.
  7. Both sides have continually let themselves down in the field in this series. Guarantee England will give the holier than thou response tonight in the media. Completely dull and takes away from some excellent cricket.
  8. I fully expected a 30-3 this morning after Atkinson had it going round corners but this pair are fantastic once they get on top of bowlers like this.
  9. How bad is Krishna that Siraj bats before him?
  10. There's no way this all happens without personal terms being at least verbally agreed.
  11. He's one of those pompous twats that shouts about results as opposed to actions. Constantly spewing cliches like "We have to take a look in the mirror and realise we we've not been good enough". You've not been good enough because there are no standards for poor attitude at the club. Nobody at the club ever seems to call out poor behaviour. Only Ruud has done this with the Winks stuff and the dressing room turned their noses up at it. There needs to be a reset of the way Leicester City players behave. It should have happened years ago but it's important that it happens immediately with a genuinely top class generation of footballers coming through the academy. When we were flying at the top end of the Premier League we had a squad full of captains. There's not really anyone in the squad i'd be completely happy with captaining us these days. Ricardo is the only one, really but he's injury prone.
  12. Absolutely, I wasn't being serious. It's a crap excuse from the club/Premier League.
  13. I think Kone would be a fantastic signing. Pain in the arse to play against and a goal machine. Exactly what you want from a number 9.
  14. Won't someone please think of the environment?!!?!
  15. He's been consistently picked to play for the last couple of years when all the England side have been thinking about is the upcoming Ashes series. He would 100% have gone. For what it's worth, the Aussie pitches in the last few years have had a lot more in them for bowlers than English ones.
  16. Yeah if they want to be able to provide a decent challenge to the Aussies then we need to go with Archer, Wood, Atkinson, Woakes and Stokes all fit and firing. Monumental 'if'.
  17. He's just been released by Burnley hasn't he? He's a free agent.
  18. I'm not massively against it provided it's not too long of a contract and that the wages are reasonable. 29 isn't the end of the world. He won't have a resale value but he'd come on a free so I don't think that's an issue for PSR. I think a 3 year deal has potential to be a good move. Wouldn't go for more than that though.
  19. That Derby game is on ITV
  20. 3 day turnaround between test 4 and 5 is especially tight. 5 test series played between 42 days is a bit ridiculous. It takes away from the quality of both teams. Especially when every pitch has been flat. I'm sure fans have paid for tickets today hoping to see Stokes, Archer, Bumrah etc.
  21. Would be a good move all round I think. He needs a restart and we don't need 28 fullbacks. Never really been the same since his injuries. Shame but I would take £5-8m or so. Last year of his contract so we should be looking to sell.
  22. It's a shame really because a big feel good win on the opening day of the season would probably do us a lot of good but I can't see this game going ahead.
