It was declared as serious, however apparently it’s not that bad and he might be available. -

Ayew, Vardy, Reid and Daka are all walking wounded but might be available then. I can see Cooper doing something daft like starting with Ricardo on the right wing. As that’s always worked previously. -
It finishes you really. Like you stated, we saw it with JJ and Ricardo. Alves and Braybrooke will never be the players that the hype suggests. It is such a horrific injury as it impacts how you move and turn. I didn’t play for 4 years when I did mine.

I don’t think it’s an ACL, as he had movement in it pre op. MCL - 2 to 4 months. PCL - 3 to 12 months. LCL - 3 to 12 months. Either way, it’s not good is it. Pointless injury, in a pointless international friendly.

So does Woolworths

We’ll likely play Edouard ….

Surely they do market trend analysis on items they’ve launched and consumer research to identify that they’re hardly selling any of this guff? Is it some sort of money laundering scheme?

Can I interest you in a King Power branded Hawaiian Shirt?

Cooper doesn’t have the credit in the bank Rodgers had. Whilst I don’t agree with the time they gave Rodgers, he’s leagues above Cooper. Cooper is every bit as bad as Levein, Bassett and Holloway.

I bet he’s Wout has been “stewing” over it himself.

I really like Winks and think he’s a great player. A lot of the work he does will go under appreciated but he’s the sort of player you love to play with. He’s like a metronome and every club needs them as he’s so consistent. In my opinion, he needs other players around him him that can support. If anything I’d rather keep Winks and ship out Ndidi and Skipp.

Whilst we do knock our board of owners for what is largely perceived to be an ongoing failure of a project, it’s a highly competitive world. I personally would have given Rodgers the boot earlier, however I would have done the same for Pearson when it started to go wrong leading up to Deeney day. Sometimes that faith in a coach pays dividends and sometimes it’s catastrophic. Rodgers was already being lined up by Vichai I believe to take over from Puel when the accident happened. Unfortunately those conversations were accelerated. Football is a murky business. Conversations clearly go on between clubs and agents. The club will have a rough idea of what the want, skills matrix etc I just think in Cooper they appointed a person with the wrong footballing philosophy. He’s clearly had success at Championship level but he isn’t right for the players we have here. We need someone that is going to manage the egos and players respect ultimately. When we talk about a coach not being good enough, it’s actually more than that in reality. It’s the entire team of coaching staff. That is why at the top level, you now see a complete change. Enzo had an entire team when he arrived, which all left with him. Maybe Coopers flaw is just that? https://www.lcfc.com/teams/staff/men?lang=en

Faes has similar traits to Soyuncu in terms of consistency and having that error in his locker. Soyuncu was rapid though, so if he was out of place, he could correct that. Neither could lead a defence. Soyuncu obviously lost form and played at a similar level (in my opinion) to what we now see week in, week out from Faes. Average at best. I still think our best four central defenders in the modern era would be Morgan, Huth, Fofana and Evans. Faes doesn’t get into 75% of the current Premier League teams.

I see the a few Belgium websites have absolutely annihilated him for his national team performance against Israel. https://www.walfoot.be/news/2024-11-17/ridicules-jusquau-bout--les-notes-des-diables-contre-israel-et-elles-ne-sont-pas-bien-hautes Faes (2) Absolutely catastrophic. We know: Wout Faes is, at best, a correct defender, to whom we should not ask for the moon. The problem will always have been to make him the boss of the defense as he multiplies the dumplings game after game, without getting rid of a totally misplaced arrogance. Let's hope that his role changes for the next campaign or it will be impossible to pass a level. https://www.voetbalprimeur.be/nieuws/1239078/vp-rapport-amper-licht-in-de-mist-bij-rode-duivels-slapeloze-nacht-voor-smets.html Wout Faes – 5 When he slipped and gave his opponent free rein to Casteels, the frustration of many Belgian fans undoubtedly rose high (again). It still looks too unhappy at Faes. Next to that slipper, the big misses were missing, but his position game was not always on edge. Could not adjust the unsteered ship any further.
