I still think his style of play helps us play further up the pitch as he actually presses, unlike Ayew. He’ll continue to be used as an impact sub though I’d imagine, looking at how we are being played. Similar to Ulloa in 15/16, he’s coming on as a tactical option to press higher up and take the pressure off the defence / midfield.

So how are we all feeling now the window has closed.

I keep saying it but people have an agenda against Vestergaard for some reason. He’s a Rolls Royce in the Championship and will be effective against 90% of the division. Winks and Faes are similar, albeit I’d say from what we’ve “heard”, have more baggage. -
Worryingly, you’re not wrong!

I feel he could light up the league at that level. I guess this gives the club a feel for how he’ll be coming off the back of the double fracture. Unfortunately he’s missed quite a bit of football at a young age. Fingers crossed he hits the ground running and both him and Braybrooke can re-ignite themselves in League 2. -
Technically, the transfer window still isn’t shut worldwide. Netherlands - Today at 23:00 Belgium - 8th September Switzerland - 8th September Greece - 12th September Turkey - 12th September Serbia - 17th September Saudi Arabia - 23rd September I could maybe see Daka, Faes, Kristiansen or even Winks going out yet to Turkey, Greece or Saudi.

Joking aside! I’d actually debated this for myself as I can at least walk around a bit 😂

I think they’ll underwhelm this season. They haven’t started well and they’ve gone a bit like we did when we had Sven in charge. I can see them Pushing playoffs but they won’t win it.

We saw enough to identify he wasn’t of the required standard. Clearly hasn’t settled in and I think this is both for both parties. -

If he ever comes back to the King Power, he needs a round of boos -

He’s not joining a Champions League team though, he’s gone to a Europa League team. Interestingly they play Fenerbache on the 23rd October, so he’ll likely come up against Soyuncu and Under. -

No mention to them having an obligation to purchase him on our site either? Does this mean he’ll be back like a bad smell if we get promoted? -
Do we now have a quota we need of people being called JJ in the squad?

Yes, you’re right. So it’s going to be fairly loaded. I don’t see him leaving unless it’s for a big fee. At present, he does half a job at this level. Let’s not forget the standard we are playing at as well, hardly many prolific forwards in this league.
-
We will still end up paying his wages until the end of his contract anyway I’d imagine, as he wont get the same as he’s on here.
-
What I will say, is his style of play and aggressive pressing changed the game against Birmingham. He’s like Perez in the same way he works hard but couldn’t finish his dinner at times. Both do a job for the team. We don’t have a lethal finisher in the squad though.

Reported £23m, 5 year contract in 2021. So £4.6m…… ish

The difference being Duran was 18/19 in the MLS, he’s only 21 now. Carranza is 25 now.

A nice quick one this morning! Wordle 1,535 2/6 ⬜🟨⬜🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Takes me to 60 in a row! I’ve had a few 6/6 recently!

A forward that is guaranteed to start week in, week out and hopefully we don’t take the option to buy. Dakas would score more in the MLS. The Championship overall is much higher standard and he wont put anything like those numbers up if he joins us. In fact, I doubt we’ll see much of him.
-
I’m in the same boat as you. It almost feels like we have decided we just need to get rid, no matter the financial implications in doing so. I’m hoping the reports are all wrong and it’s the club playing propaganda.

This signing makes no sense. The numbers stack up about as well as the Coulibally transfer. Eduoard had a better goal scoring record.
-
If he ends up coming back, no doubt the people at the stadium will cheer him like some hero.
