  1. That Neil Lal is absolutely clueless! There’s no way he’s buying the club and god help us if he does. In his weird, attention-seeking TalkSport interview, he referred to us as “Leicester Football Club” 19 times. He appears to have almost no understanding of how football clubs or their finances work. He was talking about maximising revenues as if he’s the first person in the world to notice that commercial success can benefit the sporting operation. He also seemed shocked that LCFC makes a loss - are there any professional football clubs that make a profit? It would be extraordinarily dangerous if this bloke and his consortium acquired the club. That’s before we consider the fact that it would probably be some kind of leveraged buy out.
  2. I feel like it’s more a mentality issue than anything else. Last season was a case of us handing points back to opponents because we lacked the mental resilience to see games out. I hope that doesn’t continue throughout this season, because we’ll be stuffed.
  3. It is quite sexy, but it also sounds extremely similar to ravioli, which is daft. So the jury is still out.
  4. So is the big Yugoslavian lad signing or not?
  5. Keepers with Italian names usually wear tracky bottoms and are a bit flappy on crosses and prone to gaffes. That’s my expert opinion.
  6. Think some of you lot need to realign your expectations. Of course BDR is starting. Funnily enough we don’t have the depth of attacking options as - say - Manchester City.
  7. I imagine this is simply because Martin told him he’d be third or fourth choice and it works for all for him to be off the wage bill.
  8. Never heard of him but I am absolutely convinced he is the answer to all our problems. Sign him up. Its always more exciting when you sign a striker, isn’t it?
  9. Is this our last season of Adidas? If we end up with Castore next then I will be the most angry anybody has ever been in human history. I can feel it; I’ve got a nasty hunch we’re going to end up with that utter excrement. ABC: Anything But Castore
  10. Absolutely not! About 60% of Foxestalk wanted to sack off Schmeichel for Danny Ward. The Foxestalk football hivemind is an absolute car crash. We‘d probably have nice kits though.
  11. I know it could get worse and that’s what I’m afraid of. I simply don’t believe that there is some magical fairy godmother buyer that ticks all the boxes that everybody wants them to tick.
  12. I’m afraid you’re going to be bitterly disappointed.
  13. And - realistically- what do your foresee happening now assuming we’re sold?
  14. You’ve missed the point. My point is there is no satisfactory ownership arrangement that is going to come from KP divesting the club, because we don’t make sense to purchase. It’s about pragmatism.
  15. I don’t think that’s unique to King Power, I think that applies to every business acquisition negotiation that’s ever taken place in the history of time.
  16. Feel like he’s bound to feature in one way or another because a) we lack other options, b) League 1 is about the level you’d want to blood him in at, and c) he’s clearly worth a punt, especially with some pre-season confidence.
  17. Exactly this. There is almost no way this goes well for us. Economically, we don’t make sense to purchase.
  18. What do you think is going to improve once some Kuwaiti air conditioning salesman buys us? Even if he’s as rich as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos combined, we’re still hamstrung by the same financial regulations.
  19. We’re going to be owned by Fawaz or some clown of his ilk. Slow handclap for the King Power Out movement.
  20. Alright, Mr Yorkshire. There was me thinking that mocking the city of Leeds‘ well-known affinity with Jimmy Saville was fairly standard patter. Seeing as only U-rated Yorkshire mockery is apparently allowed, how about this: Wensleydale is a terrible cheese, totally lacking in flavour or discernible character. And Henderson‘s Relish is OK, but ultimately a Temu Worcester Sauce.
  21. Come on Spain. Smash those cheating, stinking, Nazi-hiding, Israel-supporting Curepis like they’re the ARA General Belgrano and it’s 1982.
  22. TBF, Jimmy Saville was massive in Leeds.
  23. They are the Argentina of English domestic football.
