That sequence right there for Man U differs in what way to how some of our play was today? Makes me laugh how posters think every attack will result in a goal or shot on goal…there is a team on the other side that will hinder going from 1 end of the field to the other

I have said my biggest gripe with him is his subs & timing of. My biggest gripe with fans is living touch by touch, there are only 5 subs and reading the match thread those 5 subs would be made within 15mins due to a missed placed passes. Im not saying his time isn’t up but football fans put to much on a manager when you lose but hardly any credit when they win. There are only a handful of ways of playing but bet your ass he don’t say Mav if the player passes you don’t worry just stop cos Thomas is there or Ayew just fall over when you get the ball and we’ll get a foul. There will be a general game plan but it won’t be rigid & the last thing a manager will say is play what’s infront of you….i know im speaking on deaf ears but there ya go

How many different ways are there to play the ball from the keeper? 90 times out of 100 in any team regardless if noted as a possession team or not it will be passed to a CB, this is not a Marti issue and you hit on speed of pass but it’s really speed of thought and that’s not a manager issue but player

Why not just treat it how we used to treat a match previously, as in, it’s a bit part of a full day out with mates or in your case, family that haven’t been together for 10yr. Win lose or draw it’s about the 2 people ya with don’t allow it to be about anything else & just enjoy the craic

“Fans” are notoriously reactionary and will comment touch by touch and not think about that phrase ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ especially when things aren’t going their way. [insert into most young player threads] I’m more than happy with Nelson to be the 1st pick CB knowing he’ll have the odd wobble but also realise he’s better than the odd wobble. I’ve said before I’d really like a future partnership of Nelson and Wilson-Brown with some experience aiding the pair but certainly not WF or JV. With regards to ‘the next 1’ to be targeted it’ll be Monga I think and just because he’s been built up to much and to quickly, closely followed by Page. I think once he gets a good run of games Aluko will be fine, he’s certainly the most ready out of those 3. Silko is getting what he needs currently although will probably end up being another McAteer, as will Marcel. Might as well finish commenting on them all, Jakob is more than fine & I certainly don’t write him off for a misjudged pass in a game we were winning 3:0 & in away he’ll learn more from that than keeping a clean sheet that particular day. Some of his saves have kept us in games or kept the score down, he comes for crosses and generally makes them. My only real critique given he’s still young for a keeper is he needs to be more vocal, I get the impression he’s frightened to bollock Vestergaard etc he needs to be talking & telling them where to go and giving them grief / praise like Kasper would, if he can come out of his shell more he’ll be better for it.

3mths later & having a better season than any of our wingers. I’d have taken at the start of the season and I’d certainly take him now

Cheers looks like I’ll have to start S2 Landman tonight I’ve saved up 5 of those and start Fallout in a few weeks time.
