He played 6 times in the milk cup that season, the beginning of the pathway to the 1st team š¤·āāļø Tell a lie it was the EFL trophy my bad.
-
Yep the irony, I want to be a LB I will leave to play LB, 191 games later heās played 46 as a LB š¤·āāļø
-
I do believe it was the other way around

Winks, Faes, Vestergaard & Soumare drive that wage bill & this manager has begun the drive to get them out of the squad, would you rather a yes man that had all 4 playing? In other news the person with the newest most expensive fancy car in my cul-de-sac doesn't have the biggest house

Last 3 seasons Bamford had 4, 8, 0 but some are saying they would have taken him due to his start with Sheff U

i do find it funny when any & every manager says this about a squad they take over then 2 weeks later after a win they say it's because they re much fitter now...wtf can they do in 2 weeks that makes them go from zero to hero, an extra run up the hill? -
Yep & the great Pearson, Walsh & Shakespeare it would seem also who were running the show at the time. We should have seen Rudkin for what he was at the time as he was academy manager with Terry Robinson as DoF. Funny to see the players that did get contracts who were around with Toney although most a year or 2 older Tom Hopper Harry Panayiotou Joe Dodoo George Taft Jacob Blyth James Pearson Alie Sesay Callum Elder Not sure the academy was very good then & with him in charge we understand why. Liam Moore & Jeff Schlupp were the main 2 to get into the 1st team during that period but again a few years older Think Toney was very much a late bloomer he never really made it until he was 24-25 & everyone thinking heās this big England player he never made his international debut till he was 27 & considering heās only 29 now itās not like heās set the world alight. Maybe at the age of 15-16 he looked like he wasnāt going to make, it was almost 10yrs later he shone for Brentford in the Championshipā¦although looking at that list above he must have looked utter doggo or a serious attitude to not get a scholarship over those š

are the scallies up in arms about not playing the kids v Lge 1 competition?
-
Go 3 down and he should just bring his lads on. I see they done that fashionably thing of each choosing different nationalities to play for 1 gone for England for his mum the other Scotland for dad
-
Brilliant win & Searle making the # 10 spot his own & will be saving the board a large chunk of money in trying to find a long term replacement for Pollard

Easy to blame the manager after the event and let the players off the hook in what was a pretty laboured game overall. If they had been on it in the 1st half and weād gone 3 up then there was a very good chance we see Evans. We are very fragile and had we gone 1:2 Iām not sure it would have been as comfortable as some are making out. Im just as disappointed at not seeing Evans but Iām sure if heād gone gungāho and emptied all the young lads off the bench and weād conceded / lost im sure there would be as many Marti out posts. We needed a win & clean sheet more than we needed to see a teenager for 10mins I wonder what the palace forum is like currently?

You seem to think Iām picking on Page as if I donāt rate him, I am not! Iām picking on these individual moments as they set the tempo of the overall play -

Itās all 1 & the same, we should be looking to put in a high energy performance to prove to us fans and themselves we can, isn't 1 of the repeated quotes on a matchday thread how slow and laboured our play is? They get the next goal and we are in the shit because itās hard for us to step up gears when you have been walking it around. We should be winning this because of our performance not because itās Cheltenham! -

Iām calm itās annoying because it breeds through the team, how many errors in that half due to a lack of urgency, players dallying around with the ball thinking they have more time than they do, how many lazy passes been made? We come off there at HT thinking game won, they get an early go we know us and itāll end up being harder than the walkabout they are currently producing. It shouldnāt matter the opposition we playing against, we should be on our toes from minute 1 we are not good enough to think we can slow the pace to walking it around an opposition. š¤·āāļø -

& still not win anything -
both loans not sure why they would be difficult, 2 prem teams sending their talent to a club top of the league
-
Most reports suggest not willing to sell until the summer, but yes we should be all over this for no other reason than the lad can head the bloody ball & wins most of his aerial duals, something comms said on WBA game the 2 Leicester CBs & defence are small & WBA are winning everything in the box.

I get what your saying but using Dibling & Barnes as the example, I guess the fact it was Diblingās 1st season in the Premier league and he shone, he was only 18 & the biggest factor, there were 17 clubs in for him which would have bloated his value way out.

MV & what they were worth to us different things but The only players to go under MV were Maddison & Castagne & that was due to relegation. Fofana went for double his MV (ā¬40m) & 3yrs later he's only worth around a 1/3 of that fee we received (ā¬80m) Barnes (despite relegation) , Chilwell & KDH all went for a little over their MV Fatawu's MV is currently only ā¬20m but what we can get for him is
